On With the Show Tour
12:00 pm

Stevie woke to find herself in her own living hell.
She was in a cold hospital room, and to make it worse, completely alone.
The clock on the wall read 12:03.
So much for getting to rehearsal on time.
Looking around, she noticed a tan folder sitting on the side table next to her. Gingerly taking it in her hands, she opened it, and was surprised when about 4 or 5 X-rays came tumbling out. Looking at one closer, she realized it was a scan of a leg. As her eyes moved down the picture, something caught her eyes.
A large lump sat right in the middle of one of the bones.
Stevie's fingers absentmindedly reached out and found the spot marked on the X-ray. They brushed over a small lump.
"Oh my god."
"Was it cancer?"
Sure the thought had run through her mind a couple times, but she never thought...
A cold hand touched the back of her neck.
"Hi."
She didn't have to turn around to know it was Lindsey.
As much as she wanted to be with him, all she wanted was answers.
"Is it cancer?" She said bluntly, staring at the wall in front of her.
She heard his breath hitch, and could almost hear his mind working, searching for the right words that would help lessen the blow of the truth.
"Tell me the truth, Lindsey."
There were a few moments of silence before he finally spoke.
"Yes. It's cancer."
Tears pricked the back of Stevie's eyes. She never imagined she'd go like this, she always thought it would be something normal or-
"Stevie your not gonna die."
"How do you know."
"Stevie it's a tumor! You might not even need a leg amputation!"
"I'd rather die than have to go another 5 or 6 years before I actually do without a limb."
"Stevie you cannot talk like that!" Lindsey shouted, and Stevie could've sworn she heard some fear in his voice as well.
The fear was starting to sink into her as well. It felt like her heart had sunk into her stomach, and she felt a few tears slip out of the corner of her eye.
Lindsey walked over and say down on the bed next to her. He buried his face into her hair and hugged her close.
"You can't talk like that because I love you too much to let you go." He sighed. Stevie closed her eyes and sunk into the hug, her brain still trying to process everything.
"He has a wife and kids." Stevie thought, looking at Lindsey.
"If I go, I don't think it'll be hard for him to get over me-"
There was a knock at the door. Swallowing down her tears, Stevie knew that knock well. It was the doctor. But she already knew what he was going to tell her.
"You have cancer."
