Jiwoo eyes flutter open, her eyes slowly wonders around and realize that she is in the hospital. A strange feeling then make her heart drop. empty. her stomach feel weirdly empty which explains everything as her trembling hands make it's way down to her lower stomach, feeling a tear escape her left eyes. "it's my fault..." she mumble under her breath before her gaze shift towards the door, see a sight of a worry Jake, Jihyun, her dad and Heeseung.
Jake rush to her side and caress her emotionless face, "Kang Jiwoo..hey, I'm here..I'm sorry, we couldn't save the baby" Jake utter with a soft, sad expression but then surprise when the wife let out a scoff, "do you think I don't know that?" she asked sarcastically, rolling her eyes before shouting as frustrated tears roll down her cheeks, hands balling into fist. Jihyun flinch at the older sudden change of behaviour making her cling to her grandfather legs as she watch the mother in shock.
Jake gulp in shock before he caress Jiwoo's hair, "Jiwoo, calm down..breath, princess" Jake utter but surprise as Jiwoo yanked his hands away with a frown, "shut up, get out.. just get out!" Jiwoo lash out, harshly run her hand through her hair, making the whole room filled with silence. more tears roll down her frustrated face making Jake even more worried, "bring Jihyun out, I don't want to see her" Jiwoo add making Jake even more shocked before his gaze shift at the toddler then jiwoo's father.
Mr Kang give Jake a small nod and smile as he lean towards the toddler, "Jihyun, you said you wanted some ice cream, let's go get one" the older utter and give a last glance on his frustrated daughter before bringing the speechless toddler out of the room. "you should've told the chief that you're pregnant when you knew it's a big undercover" Heeseung mutter making Jiwoo scoff as she aggressively wipes her tears away.
"Lee Heeseung, you're so funny.." Jiwoo laugh sarcastically before her face drop, "you jerk!" Jiwoo almost get up to grab on the Anesthesiologist but Jake hold her back in surprise. "I know it's my fault! you don't have to remind me that!" Jiwoo shout in frustration as she try to escape Jake's grip which tighten every second, "i know.." Jiwoo's breath staggered as Jake covers her eyes, attempting to calm her down, "it's all my fault that I lost the baby.." Jiwoo mumbles as tears roll down her cheeks making Heesung feel even bad.
Jake keep his hand on Jiwoo's eyes as he help to her to lay down. "it's not your fault.. It never will be your fault, love" Jake calmly say as a sniff and a tear drop from his eye, he slowly lift his hand and see Jiwoo closing her eyes tightly as she cry. Jake softly caress the woman hair as he look up to his best friend, "can you put her onto some more rest..?" Jake asked making Heeseung take a deep breath before giving him a nod before he inject some tranquilizer into her IV drip making Jiwoo seems calmer in the next second before eventually fall into another deep sleep.
Jake look away from his wife as more tears coming out of his eyes, "what should I do.." Jake mutter, wiping his tears away. "she will experience some heavy stress and bad cramps for a few week.. that's what the gynaecologist said" Heeseung explains, "she is in her lowest point, you need to always be there, support her, mentally and physically or she might develop MDD" Heeseung continue making Jake nod.
"shows her support, don't let her see your disappointment" Heeseung adds making Jake sigh and nod again. "for Jihyun, keep her away until Jiwoo fully recover" Heeseung utter making Jake look at the latter in surprise, "we really have to send her away..?" Jake asked making Heeseung nod. "a week or two" he answered. "jiwoo is unstable, you just saw how bad was it. If Jihyun mentioned about the lost and how sad she is, Jiwoo will be in much more pressure and might harm herself or your daughter" Heeseung explain making Jake covers his face in frustration before nodding, "I understand, I will asked Jiwoo's dad to look after her for some time" Jake reply making Heeseung smile.

"sweetheart, you need to stay with grandpa for some times, okay?don't worry, I'll visit you every single day" Jake utter as he bop his daughter nose as she eat her ice cream on the bench making the toddler turn to the older in confusion. "why? is mommy mad at me?" she asked with a pout making Jake shake his head, caress her hair, "no baby, mommy would never, but she's unwell.. I'm afraid that no one will be there to take care of you if I have extra work" Jake utter making the toddler nod.
"but, did something happen to the baby? mommy keep touching her tummy.." Jihyun look at Jake as she asked making Jake loss his words before he take a deep breath as he caress the toddler cheeks. "sadly, yes..there's a little problem and mommy's tummy is in pain, so the baby couldn't stay with us.. but what's important now is mommy's health, okay? we'll try to ask mommy if she can bear one when she is fully recover, okay princess?" Jake explains making the toddler nod.
"it's okay, i want mommy to be healthy again, i want the old mommy, this mommy is.. scary.." she pouts making Jake nod. "we'll have her back in no time, for now, be a good girl and follow grandpa, hm? I'll see you later, princess" Jake smiles as he ruffle the girl hair as he lead her to Jiwoo's dad, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience..If you have work, you can always call me, I'll fetch her. I'll try my best to help Jiwoo recover" Jake utter to Mr Kang as he give him a bow.
The older caress Jake's shoulder, "it's not your fault, I'm her grandfather, it doesn't bring any inconvenience, I'm more than glad to take care of her. As for Jiwoo, stay by her side, don't give her any stress, do not talk about works in front of her, take care of her well.." Mr Kang utter making Jake nods as he take another deep breath before the older give him a quick hug and left with the toddler.
