Jiwoo lay down on the bed to relax her sore muscles after she decided to tidying up their attic after a few hours she got back from the check up, as Jake went to the precinct after being called for an emergency meeting. Her gaze divert from the wall to her phone as it rings, she reach for it and see the name of the chief from Incheon precinct.
"yes, sir?" she utter as soon as she picked up the call. "Kang Jiwoo, I'm sorry if I'm bothering your free time, but can you come to the precinct now?" the chief asked making her face drop, "why? is there something wrong with Jake?" Jiwoo asked in worry as she grab her car keys. "no, sort of yes but yeah, we need you here if you don't mind" The chief reply which make her confuse but she decided to go anyway, "sure, I'll be there by 10" Jiwoo utter before she end the call and proceed drive to the precinct.

[ Incheon Police Station ]
Jiwoo walks into the precinct and greet the familiar faces with a sweet smile before she heard a familiar groan from somewhere making her roam through the precinct until she found her husband getting treated on the arm by one of his male assistants making her sigh before walking towards the men.
"what happened?" Jiwoo frown as she asked making Jake look at her in shock, "why are you here?" he questioned the wife making her glare at him before putting on a sarcastic smile, "the chief called, he said he needed something and says about how something is wrong with you. were you stabbed?" She answered making the husband smile awkwardly before his smile drop after fully catch her words.
"the chief says he needed you?" Jake asked making the girl nods, "now answers me Sim Jaeyun" She reply as she raise her eyebrows towards him making him nervous, "not stabbed for sure but I fight him and he push me towards the wall and something just graze, deeply" Jake answers as he look away before they heard someone closing the room door and turn to see it's actually the chief.
"ow!" Jake groans after being pinched by Jiwoo right below his treated wound on his left arm, "that's what you get for not telling me about an undercover again" Jiwoo glares at him before turn to her front and face the chief. "so, why do you need me here?" Jiwoo asked with a smile making the chief smile too, "so actually, well, I know you have quit but you're the only one can handle this" the chief utter making Jiwoo wonder.
"handle what in detail?" Jiwoo nervously asked, "there's an upcoming undercover, it'll taken place in two places in the same time, we are short of women officers, the bad guys only allow few women to show their secret room where they might store their drugs and illegal weapons" the chief explains, "so you want me to join? and lure the bad?" Jiwoo asked for confirmation which the older man nod.
"ms. Lee will be going on the first spot and I hope you can go to the other one, Jake and a few other guys will be there with you" he adds which makes Jiwoo fiddle with her fingers, "you don't need to go if you don't want to" Jake utter as he hold her hand making Jiwoo look at him with hesitation pasted on her face, she can clearly see how he actually doesn't want her to go for her and their second child safety which the chief didn't knew about.
she take a glance of her almost visible baby bumps and face the chief, "I'll do it, I can" Jiwoo decides, makes Jake let out an inaudible sigh before nodding, "okay, whatever you decide, I'll be by your side" Jake utter with a smile. "you sure? I can just find anyone from the other precinct but you're just closer and our first choice" The older asked again making Jiwoo nods, "I'm sure, I can do it" Jiwoo reply while having Jake caressing her hands.

"you sure about going?" Jake asked as soon as they enter their bedroom after having dinner with their daughter and put the smaller to bed. Jiwoo sigh as she lay herself down on the mattress, "I want to.. He said he trusted me to do it" She answered as Jake lay beside her, "Of course he does, you're amazing but isn't it dangerous for now? you've quit, the choice is fully yours to make, he can't say anything if you don't want to go" Jake reply while caressing the wife belly.
"you're going to be exposed to drugs, alcohol, weapons.. i'll be there to protect you but the risk is so high that I can't stop asking you the same question, I just don't want you to go through pain, okay?" Jake continue as he caress Jiwoo cheeks making her pout slightly, "I know but I want to do this... I'll try my best to protect myself too" Jiwoo reply making Jake sigh and nods, "okay love, okay.." he utter making Jiwoo smile.
