"I know she's your friend but still.." Nandini's voice trailed off, because Veer moved his face closer at the same time.
The next thing she knew, something warm and soft was on her lips, his minty breath hot against her cheek and his beard tickling her chin.
All her eyes could see were his silky hair.
Her heart stopped.
Her breath stopped.
Her voice died in her throat.
Her brain stopped too!
1...
2...
3...
It took more than just 3 seconds for her to realise that Veer was kissing her!
Nandini's eyes went wider at this realisation. He... he's kissing.. her first kiss?!
Veer's hair was against her glasses so basically that's all that she could see and her whole body had gone numb.
Her brain was in no state to process anything. Except his warm breath against her cheek and his soft lips against her's, the only thing she could feel was her heart that kept thudding like she was running a marathon!
Even as she kept blinking stupidly, unable to process the situation, Veer moved away.
His eyes moved all over her face, his own face had turned beet red!
A small chuckle left his lips, and he bit his lip, trying to control his smile. Nandini looked as she felt - shell shocked!!
To be honest, she looked adorable - her eyes wide, yet, her cheeks had turned crimson! Chuckling at how adorable she could get, he gently tucked a stray strand of her hair behind her ear.
He didn't know how to proceed - moreover, he didn't know why she was shocked - was it because she liked the kiss, or was she just taken aback, or she'd not even registered the fact that he had kissed her?
"Nandini?" He called out to her gently.
"Huh?" Nandini jumped, still lost to the moment they'd shared a few seconds ago.
Veer chuckled again, before he moved closer, wrapping his arms around her and taking her in his warm embrace. His arms were tight and warm around her. Her head was against his chest. She was engulfed into his warmth, his musky scent in her nostrils. His warm breath was fanning the side of her head as he rested his head on her shoulder.
"You're so cute, what am I to do with you?" He sighed, and then chuckled a little again. Goosebumps pricked all over her body as his warm breath hit her ear.
Nandini didn't know what he meant. She didn't know why he kept chuckling. She didn't know why his face was so red, or why he was shivering, when in fact, he was so warm!
It was a while before he let go off of her. Nandini was lost, the kiss still running in her mind. She didn't know if it was few seconds or minutes or hours that they'd stood like this in each other's embrace.
But even so, by the time he let go off of her, the kiss was the only thing running to in her mind.
"Shall we go back inside? It's cold" Veer smiled.
Nandini didn't know what she replied, because she only heard Veer chuckling before he said again "what am I to do with you Nandini?!"
He let go off of her, then took her hand in his, leading her back into the house.
Once inside, he led her to her bedroom, and waited till she got in. He lingered around, and as she got in, he mumbled a good night to her.
She just hummed in response and got in, closing the door behind her, still lost to that kiss.
