Chapter 1: Gemmy gets drowned
The year 2175.
The event, a world ending flood.
Our protagonist, Gemstone, is running for his life.
Gemmy dashed down the lane, several other people behind him.
As he turned a corner, he knocked over a barrel full of apples.
People tripped on the apples, and if it was a normal day, Gemmy would have helped them up, but today was no normal day.
He scrambled down the road, trying to reach the shoreline where emergency boats were being kept, where he could escape with his life.
He passed by his school, which students were flooding out of, pushing, shoving, screaming for their mommies.
He finally reached the shorelines, huffing and puffing. The gum he had been chewing was now flavorless.
But before he could get on one of those silver boats, a wave struck him, straight in the face.
As you can imagine, he didn't exactly stay conscious.

"Hey, stupid, are you dead or alive?"
Gemmy sprang awake, coughing. The girl who had been poking him with a stick recoiled, disgusted by Gemmy's coughing.
"Mind your manners, man. I just brought you back to life."
Gemstone was still processing what in tarnation was going on, and he looked back at the girl.
"Who-who are you?"
The girl smirked. "Just call me your hero."
Gemmy raised an eyebrow. "Hero? Isn't that a boy's name?"
The girl growled. "Just call me Jade, then."
Gemmy looked around. "Where are we? Where's everyone else? Can I have some food?"
Jade sighed. "I don't know, I don't know, and sure, you can have some bass."
She passed him a half alive bass, which had a really slimy texture, which made Gemmy automatically drop it.
Jade smirked. "C'mon, don't be a wuss. Pick it up."
At that moment, two other people walked into the room.
"Hey, is Ugly alive?" Asked the girl."
"Don't call someone ugly!" The boy protested.
"Ugh. Shut it, N."
Jade looked at the girl, then looked back at him.
"Yeah, ugly's alive, all right."
The girl must have noticed Gemmy's confused expression, because she introduced herself.
"Hey, I'm Uzi, and the other wuss over there is N."
N waved from the corner of the room.
"Oh. Hi. I'm- I'm Gemstone."
Gem was still quite confused, as all of this happened in about 30 seconds.
"Can I call you Wuss 2.0?" Asked Jade, grinning.
Uzi walked over to Gemstone, a little too close for his preference, but he stayed quiet.
She started examining him, then said, "Yeah, this guy is weaker than N."
From the corner, N mouthed "Yesssssss..."
Uzi then patted Gemmy on the head.
"Welcome newbie, to the Pavilion."
