**Another smutty chapter!!**Daylight comes and goes as Emery stays in bed the entire weekend. She needs time to think about everything that's happened these past two weeks. Avery has been in and out of the room, trying to get Emery out of bed each time. Emery waves her off each time, feigning sickness. She just had too much to worry about.
First, a guy that Emery has never really been close to starts making out with her in secret, never showing her anything but sexual frustrations.
Second, Emery's friend who she used to have a massive crush on, years ago, just starts to outright, genuinely flirt with her, going so far as to make out with her. She wonders if Theo's sudden attraction has anything to do with Draco's latest actions, but she shook off the idea. Little did she know, it isn't just a coincidence.
The third thing Emery thinks about is Isla and Avery suddenly hanging out without her. She doesn't mind, of course, always having wanted Isla to be a part of her Slytherin friend group. But something doesn't feel right about Avery, or even Isla for that matter, not mentioning anything to her. Is there something going on? Neither have acted any different than usual, so she doubts they are upset with her. Do they not trust her? She knows Isla is bisexual and absolutely stunning, with her fierce red curls that complimented her beautiful face. Could they be seeing each other in secret? But Avery has only mentioned liking guys before. She couldn't decide what it was. She doesn't think she can handle it if they turn out to be closer friends than her and Isla are. Isla is the first girl friend she's ever had, and vice versa. Isla is special to Emery. These secrets made her feel as though she were growing less important to Isla.
Emery's thoughts are interrupted by a knock at the door. Did Avery forget her key again? She was about to say come in when she sees the door locked. Groaning, she gets up from under the covers and walks over to the door, unlocking it to see Isla standing on the other side. "Isla? What are you doing here?" she asks, thinking how ironic it is that Emery was just thinking about her.
Isla walks through the threshold and gives Emery a gentle hug. "Avery asked me to come talk to you," Isla says into her hair.
Emery pulls away from her with a huff. "Avery, huh." She turns to walk to the bathroom and Isla follows.
Emery flips the light in the bathroom on and continues to the sink. "Yeah, she said you haven't gotten out of bed all weekend and was worried about you. So, obviously, I started to worry too." She's concerned.
Washing her face, Emery grabs the towel that was hanging to the side and brings it to her face too dry. "Since when do you talk to Avery?" She finally says and looks at Isla.
"Oh, um, well, she-" Isla tries, fidgeting with her fingers.
"Well?" Emery says, frustrated with the other girl's secret-keeping.
"She likes my friend Eddie so I've been helping her try to get to know him and in return... She- uh- well, she's helping me with something..." Isla trails off.
"She likes someone?" Emery asks softly, shocked and partially hurt. She hasn't mentioned liking anyone, but then again, Emery hasn't even told her anything about what's transpired between Draco or Theo. "Okay... Then what is she helping you with?" she prods.
"Oh, um, it's nothing. I just- I like someone too and she's trying to help me confess my feelings." Isla looks down at her hands that are messing with her right middle finger's ring.
Emery stands there in surprise. "You like someone?" She moves towards Isla, grabbing her ringed finger. "Why didn't you tell me? I could have helped you. I know I've been a bit... in my head this past week, but you know I'm always here for you, Lia." Emery doesn't notice Isla's breath hitch at her casual mention of her nickname for Isla. Isla bites her lip. "You're not mad at me or anything, are you?" Emery looks down at their entwined hands. "You mean so much to me and I'm sorry if I've done something-"
