**I wasn't gonna put smut in this chapter but... the more the merrier ig lmao**
"You know," Avery starts, making Emery divert her attention from the book in her hands to Avery. "I've noticed something weird."
Emery's eyebrow quirks up. "Weird how?" Both girls are sat at a table in the library, studying for an upcoming exam.
"All the guys are acting suspiciously. Draco seems to never want to leave your side, Theo is always staring at you or glaring at Draco, and Blaise— Well Blaise is just like never around anymore." She throws her hands into the hand, defeated.
Emery stifles a laugh seeing her friend's frustration. "Really? I haven't noticed," Emery lies, obviously knowing exactly why they've been acting strangely.
Avery squints her eyes at Emery. "You know something, don't you?" A sly smile dances on Emery's lips as she shrugs. "I knew it! Tell me!" she begs.
Emery sets the book down on the table before clasping her hands together. "Well, a little birdie told me that Blaise has been spending a lot of time with her and actually confessed to her that he likes her."
"No way, who?"
"Isla," Emery answers, unsure of what Avery's reaction would be.
Her eyebrows shoot up in surprise. "Woah. I- I wasn't expecting that," she laughs. "So he finally fessed up then? I never thought she'd like him back honestly. I had always thought she had a crush on you. Then she told me and confirmed my thoughts and asked for my help in admitting her feelings to you so I really didn't think Blaise stood a chance. But I guess with what happened with you two, she decided to take a chance with him?"
"I think so too. I actually sort of pushed her to," Emery admits, bashfully playing with the ends of her hair.
"Huh? Really, when?" she prods.
"After she confessed her feelings to me and we made out..."
Avery suddenly stands and slams her hands on the table. "You made out with her and didn't tell me?" she exclaims in shock.
Emery's eyes widen as her hands shoot out to try and push Avery back down to her chair. "Avery, shut up! We're in the library, you dolt!" Emery harshly whispers while looking around to see if anyone heard.
Avery remembers where they are and instantly shoots back down to her seat. "Crap, I hope no one heard that. That doesn't mean you're off the hook for not telling me sooner though!" She jabs her finger in Emery's direction, narrowing her eyes.
Emery rolls her eyes at Avery's dramatic reaction. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, mom. Just wait until I tell you what's up with Draco and Theo."
"You know the reasoning behind that too?" Avery asks, eyebrow raised.
"I might." Emery shrug.
"Why are you keeping the juicy secrets from me? You know I like gossip," she huffs. She dramatically crosses her arms over her chest, a crease appearing on her forehead as she scrunches her eyebrows with a frown.
Emery chuckles at her friend and her impassioned behavior. "Okay, okay, I'll tell you everything I know." Emery spends the rest of the day divulging everything that's happened between her and the two best friends she's been fooling around with. Avery also tells Emery more about her growing relationship with Eddie Carmichael, Isla's Ravenclaw friend that Draco first told Emery about.

As the weekend approached, Emery found herself excitedly preparing for a day out in Hogsmeade with Draco. She had agreed to spend the day exploring the quaint village, and couldn't help but feel a mix of nervousness and anticipation.
