The Cullen residence was large. Larger than anything Ada had seen in her life. It sat atop a hill with three floor and looked as if it was owned by a celebrity.
His home was in the middle of the woods, having almost a half-mile driveway. They traveled for about three minutes before they even got to the garage.
The drive was filled with conversation as he spoke of his children and wife, four girls in one house now including her. Dr. Cullen also mentioned his three sons. Having nine people in one home was obviously his reason for owning such a large piece of land.
When the car stopped, they were inside of the garage. Five parking spaces were lined up in a row, all of them either Mercedes-Benzs or Lamborghinis. There were only two parking spaces without cars in them.
"My son is on his honeymoon with his wife," Dr. Cullen explained.
"Oh...that's nice." She shut the door and together, they walked through a side door into the kitchen.
The marble wall were painted white, and the wood floors were newly polished, by his wife Ada assumed, and a massive chandelier hung from the middle of the large space.
He didn't stop to say anything, but continued to lead her out of the kitchen and into a living room. There was a large L sida in the corner of the room and a love sear next to it. A fireplace was pushed against the north wall and the television was set on a local News station.
And there sat the Cullen family, all six of them, besides one of the boy who must've been away on his honeymoon, then Dr. Cullen himself.
They all had the same ghostly white skin as Dr. Cullen, as well as their eyes. They were all gold, and as far as Ada could tell, the might as well have been clones of each other.
There was a silence in the room as everyone looked at the girl standing in front of them.
"It's wonderful to meet you, Ada," a woman spoke. The voice stood up and wrapped her arms around Dr. Cullen and a warm smile spread across her face.
"Ada, this is my wife, Esme." Mr. Cullen said. She looked like she was one of his children. She had to be at least twenty.
"Introduce yourselves!" Esme whispered towards her children. "Sorry," she apologized. "They must be nervous or something."
The siblings shared glances with each other before one of them jumped up with a boy her age.
"Hi Ada! We've heard so much about you." Ada was surprised by the hyperness of the raven-haired girl. She was a bit shorter than Ada and wore a pendant around her collar, which she fidgetted with every once in a while.
The boy, on the other hand, was much taller than the girl beside him, towering over her like a huge building. He looked like a high school student, but he definitely looked older than just a high schooler. His mouth was in a straight line and he didn't look very happy to have her in his home.
"I'm Alice," the girl said, "and this is Jasper." He didn't look away from her as he said 'hello', buy his back did straighten as he looked a bit more comfortable.
The two walked back over to the love seat, and their movements were fast and steady, perfectly in unison.
Another pair stepped forward, and this time it was a blond girl who was almost the same height as her and a more muscular boy with black hair. The girl wore a black shirt and a blue jacket and the boy was wearing a pale white t-shirt that stuck to his chest. This time, the girl was the one who seemed to dislike Ada and the boy seemed pleased she was in his presence. She thought it was weird that Mr. Cullens home could portray all these different personalities.
The boy spoke first, grabbing and shaking Adas hand in a quickened manner. "I'm Emmett," he said. "This is Rosalie, she's not very friendly today." He joked with her, but she didn't seem very pleased. Although Rosalie seemed to not like his joking, but Ada surely didn't mind.
"I'm fine! But doesn't anyone else think that this is dangerous for all of us?" She turned around and faced her family who were sitting around each other.
"Rosalie, this isn't the time to talk about this," Dr. Cullen said, his tone becoming serious with her. She just huffed and walked upstairs.
"I'm sorry about her," Esme said, "I hope you can understand her behavior lately."
Of course Ada understood, she could tell that some of the people here were not so happy to see her, but she knew that it must be hard on all of them.
"I think that's everyone," Mr. Cullen cut in. "Except Edward and Bella of course." Edward must have been the son on his honeymoon.
Ada found it weird that everyone in his family had such old-fashioned names, but maybe that's just the way they were.
"I can take you to your room, Ada." Alice said. She stood up and took Adas hand, leading her up the stairs in the living room. She hadn't noticed how large the house actually was until she was inside of it.
Alice led her down a long hallway and stopped outside a door. She pushed the door open to reveal a stunning bedroom. There was a large panel window looking outside at the front garden and a queen bed pushed against the side wall. There was a desk on the wall in front of the bed and a brand new laptop sat on display beside everything. The whole room seemed like a luxury.
"This is amazing!" Ada explained, stepping on the lush carpet and finally sitting on the bed. The comforter was a plush linen and the whole headrest wall covered in pillows.
"I'll go get your bags for you." Alice said and exited the space, leaving Ada in the confinements of the room.
