Ada had arrived to the high school early, classes would start in about an hour. She decided to walk around the large building for a while and figure out where she needed to go.
The hallways were mostly bare, passing by onluy a few cleaners or teachers once in a while. First, she walked by her first hour class which was biology. The door to the room was locked, so she continued down the hallway. In about thirty minutes or so, Ada had already wandered down the hallways of the school and found all of her classes. The air had become warm outside, so she carried her bag towards the front exit of the school and sat down on the steps outside.
A few students had already started to arrive, school would start in about twenty minutes, and as she watched the students pass her and enter the school, she felt out of place.
Nobody drove a bright red Lamborghini like she did, and nobody wore expensive clothing. She already had a bad feeling about her first day.─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Ada sighed as she walked to the cafeteria for breakfast, her bag seeming to feel heavier as she dragged it along with her.
The large space was crowded, and the loud chatter of students bounced off of the walls. She stumbled through the crowd, clutching her bag with her right hand and wandered through the room until she found a somewhat empty table.
She sat down, placing the bag next to her. Looking around the large area, she studied the other students. They all looked ghostly pale, not that she was surprised since Forks is the rainiest place in the continental US, but to be fair, she wasn't any darker.
And as her eyes scanned the room, her gaze landed on the Cullen siblings. All of them were gathered at a table together, talking indistinctly among themselves.
One by one their mouths stopped moving and they turned. Emmett and Alice both wore smiles while Jasper and Rosalie, well, they didn't seem to care that much.
Alice waved her over then, and Ada reluctantly stood up, slinging her backpack over her shoulder. Her movements were slow and she felt the eyes of students all around her. Quickly, she sat down at the table.
"So..." Alice prolonged the word. "How are you liking it?" Ada sighed, but smiled to herself. "It's... loud."
Emmett barked out a laugh and Ada jumped, some bystanders turning their heads towards the table.
"You'll get used to it. The staring, I mean. And the loudness." Alice said. "It gets easier to adapt to over time." But why were people staring at her, she wondered.
Alice sighed. "Anyway, what's your schedule like?" Ada pulled the folder out of her bag, passing it to the girl sitting next to her. Squinting her eyes to read the fine print, she suddenly squealed. "Biology first hour? We all have that."
Ada smiled. "At least I'll have some people I know with me."
"And thankfully we'll all have lunch together." Alice passed back the schedule, still smiling.
There was a moment of silence before the bell rang, its metallic chime ricocheting off the walls of the cafeteria. Ada hurriedly grabbed her bag from the table, running to catch up with Rosalie, who was walking in front of the others.
Ada and Alice talked with each other until they reached the biology lab.A/N: Thank you for almost 400 reads! It's hard to believe that almost 2 weeks ago this story was barely at 100. Thank you all for the support!
