+' Eos pov '+
As I skipped away from the tall sire, I felt happy, overjoyed, and a sense of stability. Approaching the opening of the woods, I darted away vanishing from everything in sight. Looking above my feet, I noticed a campsite off in the distance, close to my families home, or what they call a base. I slowly approached the campsite, being sure to stay out of sight. No one seemed to be at the campsite as I stepped out into the open, noticing the fire had been long put out and there were no belongings anywhere to be seen. I then made my way to the base. Walking in, I noticed my father had captured a small sire who had seemed to have a gash over his head, I assumed from a type of beating or torture my father often used for information. I walked to the other room, head and eyes to the ground hoping to avoid contact with the man on the floor. My pace oddly quickening I ran into my sister, crashing us both to the ground.
"Watch where you're going, you filthy brat!" Carmen screamed. Typical Carmen to make a big deal out of an accident.
"I apologize. It was an accident." I quickly pleaded.
" Sure it was. Everything with you is an accident." Carmen said as she got up, pushing me on the floor. I could feel my sense of control slip away, I grabbed her arm and screamed, "You know you are quite bratty. Maybe think of someone else for a change!"
And with those last few words, a hard hand slapped me across the face, sending me flying into a nearby chair. I held my face, looking up to see who had hit me. My father stood there helping my sister up.
"Go for a walk before I break your legs." My father snarled at me. I got up, not saying a word, and stormed off. As I wondered into the woods, I began following a stream, trying to forget the world and all my problems that lie in it. I then lay on the grass, as it swallowed me like a big blanket. Closing my eyes and picturing everything I wanted in life, a nice home, a stable relationship with my father and Wyatt. The next thing I know, I was jolted up by a pair of hands. One pair gripped my arms, and the other gripped my hair and chin. "Ain't she a bit tiny?" a tall muscular man I had never seen said.
"Just a little, but she sure is pretty." Said a smaller, more muscular looking man.
"Let me go!" I screamed, attempting to get out of their grasp. I suddenly remember a dagger I had in my leg holster. I slowly reached down, attempting to keep contact with the men as they rambled on about what they would do to me. As I grabbed ahold of my dagger, I reached up, slashing one on the arm and the other across the face. As they let go of me, I darted into the woods hiding along a brush line, which led to a cave tucked away in the mountainside. I sat there waiting and watching for the men who had grabbed me. I wasn't sure where they went or if they were still looking for me. I suddenly remembered I was supposed to meet Wyatt. I quickly spotted the river and sprinted as fast as I could to the place where we were from a distance. I saw Wyatt picking up a bank flower. I ran and hugged him, not thinking of my actions only of him and his warm touch.
"You ok, princess?" His charming words warmed my heart. I simply nodded my head, looking up at his eyes. Swelling deeper and deeper into them. The sound of wrestling peaked our attention. Mafia surrounded on all sides of us. Wyatt pulled me in almost to the point I wasn't seen clinging on to him, I heard, "Isn't that the little target we've been looking for?" A woman's voice said, "Give her to us Wyatt."
"I believe I can not do that," Wyatt said, grabbing my hand and pulling me away from the other Mafia. "We will be going now."
He pulled me in front of him and whispered, "Run and don't look back." Before I knew it, I had sprinted off. I knew not where I was taking myself, but my feet knew. I approached my house, running inside and slamming the door. "What the living hell is all that racket for!" My father yelled. He was drunk the smell of alcohol lingering on him.
"I'm sorry, Father." I apologized, not wanting to be hit. "Just get to your damn room, I don't want to see your face." I darted to my room, burying myself in my blankets, crying myself to sleep.
