Chapter 33: Rising in the Distance

+ ' Narrator ' +

As Wyatt and Archer headed out the gate towards the car garage for an undercover mission, dark shadows made there way along the sides of the house, lining the walls and the fence. The dark shadows consumed the yard as the Mafia guards slowly dwindled their numbers down, heading out on assignments. A thin hand rose before many people knocked down the doors of the house. As commotion erupted Tara and Eos crept through the halls, heading towards the back of the house with dagger and knives in hand. A hand grabbed Tara's shoulder before laying a blow to her head, sending her to the floor.

"Don't hurt the pregnant one, Lily wants her alive." A man said as he walked into view from a room, blood pooled on his palms.

Eos looked around confused as the man who hit Tara grabbed Tara's arm and drug her through the halls toward the living room.

"Come with me Eos." The man held out one of his blood stained hands.

"Only if you answer me a few questions." Eos laid a hand over her stomach in an attempt to protect her child. "Questions one, who are you and how do you know me?"

"I am Kodak, I think it is a bit self explanatory how we know each other. Kodak said lifting off his mask to reveal his face.

"What does this so called 'Lily' person want with me?" Eos asked in a harsher tone than before.

"I think she will like to tell you herself, I am just following her orders." Kodak said, locking an arm around Eos's, leading her to the living room.

As Eos approached the living room a thin woman in a long black coat came into view. The woman's long blonde hair almost at her ankles.

"Oh thank goodness she is safe." The woman turned wiping her forehead, her auburn eyes staring directly at Eos.

"Here she is Miss Lily" Kodak said as he unlocked his arm from Eos's and went to stand next to a man who held Tara's head to look at Eos and Lily.

"What do you want with me." Eos grabbed Lily by the hair and placed a dagger against Lily's throat.

"Oh just some a little..important." Lily let out a small chuckle before she snapped her fingers.

A group of men grabbed Eos by the arms and sat her down as they took the daggers from her. "What would be so important that you need." Eos snapped.

"A child my dear." Lily knelt down, placing a hand on Eos stomach.

"I am no expert but I am sure in order for you to get the child it has to be born first." Kodak spoke up, receiving a death glare from Lily.

"My dear Kodak," Lily approached him with a dagger behind her back. "Do you know why we came here."

"To get a child that obviously hasn't been born yet." Kodak let out a smart remark.

"That is why you are going to cut it out for me, it is far enough along. It should be born any day now the way it is." Lily shoved the dagger to Kodak and pushed him towards Eos. "Tie her up."

A group of men grabbed Eos, placing her on the coffee table in the living room before tying her to the table and lifting her shirt to expose her stomach.

"Don't you fucking touch her!" Tara screamed as Kodak stepped towards Eos.

As Tara began to scream in rage, Eos attempted to get out of her restrains as Kodak knelt down, holding the knife just above where he was going to cut.

"Any day now Kodak, after all your daughter is at home with Luca and I will call him if I need to persuade you further." Lily grabbed her phone out of her pocket.
