+' Wyatt's pov '+
As I watched the petite figure of Eos bolt away into the woods, I turned and faced the lower ranked Mafia members.
"Go home before I rip you limb from limb," I snarled at the two dames that stood before me. The taller on let out a small growl, defying my order. Before I knew it, my hands came up and slapped the dame across the face, sending her to the ground with a thud. She hollered in pain as blood pooled from her nose.
"Don't disrespect me again, or it will be far more painful than a little smack." I gathered myself, wiped the filth of blood off my hand, and walked to the base.
As I approached our base, my mother was sitting outside for me. She sat tall, her copper hair flowing in the wind as her auburn eyes sparkled in the reminiscing sun. My mother was beautiful for such a deadly creature. A scar laced her faced running up her lip down to her chin. I knew not how she got it, nor did I bother to ask. The two dames I was with ran past me running up to her, whispering something. I'm not sure what they said, but by the look in my mother's eyes, she was furious. As I came up to her, she tended to relax, not by much.
"Hello, Mother." I said in a low and respectful tone.
"Wyatt, we need to talk now." My mother said, brushing past me walking towards the lake, which sat right outside our base. She sat on a rock, I followed doing the same, when she turned her head to look at me.
"So you've been hanging out with a target girl." She said I wasn't sure of her mood as I couldn't read what she was thinking. I nodded my head to my mother, indicating she was correct.
"I forbid you to see her anymore." She said sharply, standing up, "They are nothing but no good thieves and liars."
"She isn't like the rest of them. She is different. I know she is." I said, looking out onto the lake's glistening horizon.
"You will bring her to me then, and I will decide whether she is or isn't worth our time." My mother said with a small sigh. I could tell she just wanted the best for me. I knew she was skeptical, with Eos being a target, especially the high rank of one she was.
"I will find her and bring her here." I quickly said, looking for some of our members who had nothing to do.
"Arrow," I called my brother, "You and Jacklene come with me." The two nodded, not questioning where we were going or what we were doing. After a few hours of carefully roaming the woods, Jacklene seemed to notice something.
"What's that?" She pointed to a small shoe print in the mud, still oddly fresh.
"Let's follow it, couldn't hurt." I said, still wonder where Eos could be hiding. She was a master at hiding, that was for sure. The next thing I knew, I was being grabbed.
"Wyatt!!" A familiar voice giggled. It was Eos, wrapping her arms around me. I grabbed her, holding onto her tightly.
"Wow, you almost scared me there for a minute." I said sarcastically. Her glistening green and white eyes were like a forest, engulfing me in its deepest memories. It was amazing how, wherever I went, she was somehow there. She never seemed to not be there. Arrow and Jaklene came back, conversing about who knows what.
"Ay, that's the girl!" Jacklene pointed out.
"No shit dumbass." Eos let out a small giggled like a little child. I grabbed her hand, leading her towards the Mafia base. She stopped, pulling her hand away from mine as the base came into view.
"Why are we here.." She said, almost sounding scared.
"My mother wants to meet you." I told her, trying to reassure her.
"Your mom!! I look like a complete mess." She gave me a playful smack on the shoulder.
"You look fine, don't worry." She took my hand once again, walking into the base with me. As we approached my mother, a few Mafia members stood up from what they were doing, watching as we walked in hand in hand. We stood in front of my mother as I pulled Eos closer to me, her head halfway behind my arm.
"Mother, this is Eos." I introduced my little Stalker. Eos then replied with a quick. "Ello miss, it's nice to meet you." A bit of southern twang popped out of her voice.
"Hello Eos, I understand you have been hanging around with my son quite often." My mother said. Eos replied, only nodding her head, looking my mother in the eyes.
"She can stay here with us." My mother stated out of an awkward silence.
"Really??" Eos sounds surprised. I was, too, my eyes widened, and my mouth fell partially open at my mother's comment.
"Just don't touch my desk and we won't have any problems." My mother said, going back to the work she was doing before we had come in. Eos and I walked outside . She happily jumped around like a small child, getting their favorite candy on a bad day. Little did I know she would be the key to me.
