Trip to Appleloosa | Appledash <3

Chapter 2

-beep beep beep beep beep- Rainbow groans while slamming on her alarm clock. She turns around just to stare at the ceiling for a bit.

Before fully waking up, she recalls AJ's words from the day before. "I will be at your house at 8:15 exactly, if you're not ready then I'm leaving without you!"

Dragging herself out of bed, she shuffles to the bathroom and splashes cold water on her face. After about an hour she is sitting at her kitchen table, scrolling on her phone.

She had already done everything she needed to do that morning, get dressed, eat, brush her teeth. So now she's just waiting for Applejack to arrive.

After another 10 minutes, she hears a car pull up on her driveway. She picks up her bag and walks outside.

"Look who's up already, I thought I would've had to drag you outa bed!" Applejack calls to the cyan girl, who is facing away from her, locking her door.

"Surprised much?" Rainbow Dash turns around while lifting her brow.

"Yeah, I actually am though," Applejack answers honestly, "What got you out of bed this morning?"

Rainbow blushes you... "Didn't wanna be late," she quickly tries to think off a good reason "They're announcing our schedules for the trip this morning!"

Applejack peers at her, sensing something is off, but she just responds with a hesitant "Okay..."

They both get in the car, AJ in the driver's seat and Rainbow next to her.

"Didn't know you were so interested in the schedule" AJ said after a little while.

"Yeah, I'm just curious about what we're gonna do" Dash answers while looking ahead of her.

After about 10 minutes they arrive at school, Applejack parks her car and they walk to the school together.

They see their friends in the distance and walk up to them.

"I'm so tired! I just wanna go to sle-" Rainbow gets cut off by an announcement on the PA system.

"Good morning, students. Starting today, you can find the schedule for the school trip in the hallway. It will also be sent to everyone who signed up. Additionally, for those who haven't yet visited my office to confirm their room assignments, please do so by tomorrow after school. Have a great day," Principal Celestia announces.

"Looks like you woke up early for nuthin' then, sugarcube," AJ teased Rainbow.

"I'll sleep in tomorrow, you can drag me out of bed then," Rainbow said while winking back at AJ.

"No thanks, and by the way, I ain't driving you tomorrow,"

Dash looks up at that, somewhat confused "Uh, you are though, it's your payment for me driving you home yesterday."

AJ cocks her head at her "Remember what happened after you drove me home, I invited you over for dinner. I think that's payment enough."

Without saying a word, Rainbow sticks her tongue out playfully and strides off to her next class.

AJ chuckles and starts walking to her own class.

The bell rings, signaling the day is finally over, Rainbow Dash had almost fallen asleep if it wasn't for that bell.

"I'm awake!" she half yells. Twilight, seated in front of her during the lesson, turns around to look at the startled girl.

"Everything okay Rainbow Dash?"
