Chapter 3

The first period on Friday was one of the only classes the seven friends shared. When Rainbow Dash and Applejack didn't show up in class that morning, the rest of the group was getting a bit worried.

"Does anyone know where they are? I mean it's not unusual for Rainbow Dash to be late, but I don't think Applejack has ever been late before," Twilight asked the group.

"Maybe they're sick?" Rarity suggested.

"That seems very unlikely, they were both fine yesterday, I don't think they would get sick at exactly the same time," Sunset chimed in.

Twilight thinks for a second "Maybe something happened yesterday, AJ did drive Rainbow home after school?"

"Calm down Twi, you're probably overthinking this, they probably just overslept," Sunset said quickly.

The beams of light softly flowed into Rainbow's room, making Applejack's eyes open slightly.

At first, she was a bit confused because she didn't wake up in her own room, but then she remembered where she was.

Suddenly she noticed the arm that was lying on her stomach. She over to her side to look at Rainbow, still sleeping peacefully with her arm over AJ. She looks so pretty like this. Wait why am I thinking that? Do you think that about your friends? Well yes, because I thought it and she is my best friend.

She wiggled herself under Rainbow's arm to look at her phone to see the time.

"Darn it, Rainbow up! We already missed our first period," she said while giving Rainbow a shove.

"Huh?" the blue girl opens her eyes just far enough to look at the panicking girl, "AJ, what's wrong?"

"We're late, like really late!" the orange girl almost yells, "I'm never late Dash, not like this."

"You'll be fine, if we hurry will be on time for second period" the blue girl answers, already changing from her pajamas to her day clothes.

AJ felt herself freeze and her face getting hot when she looked at Rainbow, it took her a couple of seconds before realizing she was staring at her best friend getting changed.

She cleared her throat and quickly turned around, picked up her clothes, and went to the bathroom to get changed herself.

"There are some spare toothbrushes under the sink if you want one by the way," Rainbow said through the door before quickly running downstairs.

Once she was dressed, she looked in the mirror to still see a faint blush on her cheeks.

"You ready? I already made some breakfast we can eat on the way to school," Dash yelled from downstairs.

Applejack took a deep breath before answering "Yeah, I'm ready."

Both girls walked over to AJ's car while eating the breakfast Rainbow made. They were both quiet during the ride to school. AJ because she was stressing about being late and Rainbow because she just didn't know what to say.

When they finally got there they both went to their separate classes.

"Oh my god, Applejack where were you?" Twilight asked immediately as Applejack walked into the class they shared.

"I just overslept," AJ answered her plainly.

The purple girl looked at her a little confused because Applejack was never late, "Have you heard something from Rainbow Dash, she wasn't in our first period either?"

The blonde girl sat down at the desk next to Twilight "Yeah I stayed at hers yesterday, she overslept as well, she should be in class now."

"You stayed over at hers on a school night?" Twilight asked a little bit shocked.
