But it's not that simple, simply because of who I fell in love with.
Let's start with some backstory.
I'm a 24 year old therapist who lives in downtown New York. I've lived here all my life and I don't plan on leaving. I love the city life, I couldn't ask for anything else.
The rest of my family also lives in New York. I have two brothers who live on the other side of the city and my mother lives five minutes away with my father who... well I won't get into that right now.
My eldest brother, Liam, has a wife and a beautiful daughter. I love my nieces to death, but I barely ever get to see her.
My other brother, Cain, is studying in university to be a lawyer. My dad always pushed us to pursue tough career paths that take time and effort, so we can have a stable job for when we have families to provide for.
I enjoy things like art, music, and going to bars My style however is very minimalistic.
My best friend is Maria Smith, who I also work with. We've been friends since the very beginning. (Grade 2)
I've always been shy, but Maria brings out the extrovert that's hidden deep inside me.
We like going to bars together, meeting new people and listening to lots of Taylor Swift.
Alcohol is another thing that helps me in social situations.
Some people tell me I have OCD, but I've never been properly diagnosed.
I just like to have my life in order, and I don't like it when my plans change.
Right now the plan is simple,

Now marrying Peter was not my decision. My dad believes in arranged marriages for women, so he picked out Peter for me.
Me and my brothers don't like him but I put up with him because I don't have a choice anyway.
