But it's not that simple, simply because of who I am.
I'm sure you already know who I am and what I was. I think everyone in the state of New York does at this point.
I'm not going to get into much detail.
All you need to know is that after Captain America, my best friend, died I was crushed.
There was no one else in my life that I had that big of a connection with. No one else that knew what I was going through. No one I could open up to.
No one trusted me, because of my past.
They didn't see me for who I am, only what I've done.
I ended up moving in with Sam Wilson, who joined the avengers in the battle against Thanos.
We weren't that close when I first moved in, but he was the closest thing I had to a friend at that time.
As for right now? We're best friends.
But this story doesn't start there.
Sam helped me to meet more people, mostly people inside of the avengers, but they were people nonetheless.
Me, Sam and Wanda became friends and hung out a lot. They were the only people I felt accepted around.
They always told me to go to therapy, maybe even a psychologist. I kept telling them I was fine but truth be told, the nightmares got worse every night.
