"I've got a surprise for you." San hums as he walks into the kitchen, wrapping his arms around Wooyoung's waist, hugging him from behind.
"Hm?" Wooyoung smiles, eyes casted down towards the sink as he washes their plates from their shared dinner. San rests his chin on Wooyoung's left shoulder, smiling with a mischievous grin.
"So you don't have to work tomorrow, and I don't have class because my professor is sick-"
"What're you getting at, Sannie?" Wooyoung turns off the faucet, holding a clean wet plate in his left hand.
"I made reservations at a hotel that's downtown and at the restaurant that they have inside."
"You didn't." Wooyoung sets the plate down and turns around in San's arms, hand reaching for the towel resting on the edge of the sink. "That's probably really expensive, San'ah."
"I did." San watches Wooyoung avoid his gaze for a minute, timid and unsure, so San takes his fingers and places them gently beneath Wooyoung's chin, raising his gaze to meet his own. "I asked my mom to help me with it. I told her about what's been going on and I really think you need to get away from the apartment for a bit. I think the routine is getting to your head and you just need a break."
"San'ah-" Wooyoung, after he dries his hands, places the towel down, a soft whine edging his tone.
"I know, I know. You don't want me doing all of this because it's expensive, blah blah. I can tell when you're not doing okay. I've been worried about you a lot more lately because of the nightclub bullshit and Mingi begging to drink in our apartment a few weeks ago."
"Is it really that obvious?" Wooyoung frowns.
"It's only obvious to me because I know you better than I know myself. You've been avoiding sleeping again, haven't you?"
Wooyoung sighs, tilting his head away from San's gentle grasp, eyes avoiding. "Just be honest with me, Young'ah. I'm not going to be upset."
"Fine, yes. Yes I have been. Insomnia isn't just going to go away. I'm dealing with it and sleeping at least like. . . three hours or something."
"Three hours is barely anything." San says worriedly, catching Wooyoung's attention back onto him.
"How do you expect me to sleep when I'm just not tired?"
"Are you not tired? Or are you awake because your mind is going a mile a minute?"
Wooyoung is silent, shifting around in San's arms almost uncomfortably, biting onto his lower lip. "I'm right, aren't I?"
