''You five, step forwards'' Moltenstar called, as the queen stepped forwards, her kits at her heels. ''This queen, she came to us late last night, with a nasty eye injury. But we won't tap into her past, her present and future is us. This queen shall be named Dandelionsroar. And she shall name her kits. '' Moltenstar nodded to Dandelions' kits. She inhaled before replying.
''This one, '' she tapped a greyish-blue kit with her paw. ''Shall be Valleykit. This one.. '' she tapped a brownish-grey kit with white patches on its face and paws. ''Shall be Thornkit. This one, '' she tapped a blue-grey kit with darker blue stripes on its ears and tail. ''Is Wetkit. And this one.. ''she tapped a brown tabby kit with sky-blue eyes. ''Skybluekit''
''It is official!'' Moltenstar howled. ''Dandelionsroar, with her kits; Valleykit, Thornkit, Wetkit and Skybluekit! '' Moltenstar yowled, one by one until the whole clan was looking pleased and welcoming.
''Now, '' the clan quietened, listening to Moltenstar. '' You may take your seat again'' Dandelions nodded, turning back and returning to her seat, her kits still close at her heels.
Dandelions lowered into a lay, her kits laying on and near her paws. ''Blueberrypaw, step forwards'' a snow-colored cat with blueberry colored eyes stepped forwards, sitting in front of the large rock, which Wetbelly explained as the Skyrock.
''This apprentice has undergone moons of training, and me and Tarantulapaws, his mentor, agree that he is ready to become a warrior. I, Moltenstar, Leader of Skyclan, announce by the laws of Starclan we shall look down on this apprentice, as they become a warrior. Your new name is Blueberryears.''
''Blueberryears! Blueberryears! Blueberryears! '' the clan chanted, Dandelions looked around, confused, then at Wetbelly for an explanation.
He shrugged and chanted along, Dandelions inhaled, then chanted along hesitantly. Moltenstar grinned, before yowling out.
''Alright! Skyclan dismissed! ''
Moltenstar mewled, leaping off the Skyrock. Wetbelly turned to Dandelionsroar,
''Want a tour of the camp? '' Wetbelly grinned, raising to his paws.
Dandelions shrugged, raising to her paws, Wetbelly scooped up Thornkit, while Dandelions scooped up Wetkit. The other two swarmed at Dandelions paws. Wetbelly led Dandelions to the nursery, carefully dropping Thornkit on a moss bed. Valleykit and Skybluekit went to lay beside their brother, as Dandelions dropped Wetkit onto the moss bed, too.
The four kits nestled up together, quickly falling into a slumber.
''This is the nursery'' Wetbelly mewled, gesturing at two other queens and their kits.
''It's very big'' Dandelions shivered,
''Well, it's meant to be! '' Wetbelly chuckled, turning and walking off, Dandelions followed. ''That over there in front of the Skyrock is the clearing. Where all cats meet for sharing tongues and meetings. '' Wetbelly continued,
''Then that over there'' He gestured to a den slightly off to the side of the Skyrock '' Is the Warrior den, and that'' Wetbelly gestured to a den opening inside the clan rock. '' Is the Leader's den, then over there'' He pointed a little to the side of the medicine den. '' Is the apprentice den, right next to my den, the Medicine den. And lastly, over there;'' He pointed to the bottom of a tree, a den opening at its roots. ''Is the elders den'' Wetbelly explained.
'' That's alot'' Dandelions shrugged, turning to face Wetbelly
'' You're telling me. Anyways, I have to go check my herbs, are you coming? ''
Dandelions mewed in agreement, following Wetbelly to the Medicine den, resting on her moss bed as Wetbelly ruffled through the shelves.
''While we're here, you in pain anywhere? Anything out of the ordinary? '' Wetbelly questioned.
Dandelions licked at her paws.
''Nope, not really. '' Dandelions mewled between licks.
''Perfect-o'' Wetbelly purred, washing his paws in a small pond, shaking them out. ''Have you got any memory at all? From before you came here, I mean. I don't mean to be rude- uh.. ''
''Not really, all I remember is getting my warrior ceremony. Then straight after.. Someone backed me into a corner- I can't remember who- And they threatened me'' Dandelions interrupted. Shrugging merely.
Wetbelly nodded silently.
''what about you? '' Dandelions questioned.
Wetbelly shrugged. ''nothing much, had a happy family growing up'' he mrrewed. ''
Dandelions nodded, Valleykit somehow found her way up her back and onto her head, she was nibbling on Dandelions ear ferociously, it would've hurt is Valley's teeth weren't as dull as a bird's wingbone.
Dandelions merely shrugged Valley off her.
" I heard Lichenmew got into a nasty fight. Whose Lichenmew? "
Dandelions cocked her head, raising a catbrow as Thornkit bit at her tail, she flicked her tail as the tomcat sank his teeth in.
Wetbelly's face darkened.
" Lichenmew was the deputy. " he answered simply
" Was? You said 'was', did he get demoted, or killed? " Dandelions replied quickly.
" The wounds were so bad even I couldn't save *her*. " Wetbelly pointed out, correcting Dandelions' assumption. " She got badly attacked, and bled out before she made it to camp. Moltenstar is choosing a new deputy at silverpelt. "
Dandelions turned her head. " Sileverpelt? What's that? "
" When silver fills the sky, and the sun disappears. " Wetbelly nodded.
" That sounds sinister. "
" It can be for kits "
