Ezio
"Who is she?"
"Huh?" her question is so abrupt, cutting our comfortable silence, I need to make sure she's speaking to me.
But again, it's only the two of us in this fucking car. Of course she's talking to me. I glance at her to find annoyance on that pretty face.
It's a mad disrespect, yet I find myself sometimes amused by her behavior. Anyone could never get away with it, though.
She doesn't elaborate, irritation radiating over her body. Mainly because she's unwilling to spend time with me today.
"Which she, do you want to know?" I question, holding back a smirk the moment she scowls and angles her body toward the car door.
"Whatever."
"You need to be specific, dolcezza." I say, leaning back on my seat while rubbing my chin. I actually can't figure out who the hell my girl's talking about. So, I am not even pretending. I'm clueless as fuck.
"I said whatever." She emphasizes, wanting me to drop it.
"Now I'm curious who makes my girlfriend jealous." My eyebrow raises, face faking a genuine concern just to upset her further. She's already in a foul mood to begin with anyway.
"Jealous? Please, I'd rather stab myself." She mutters while rolling her eyes.
I chuckle lowly. My fingers are tapping against the steering wheel to distract myself from kissing her smart mouth. Believe me, I almost do.
"Please, don't, love." I speed through the street, maneuvering the car to the right smoothly.
Our destination is getting near. I roll our windows down and soon the scent of the seawater fills my nostrils. The girl beside me inhales deeply as she leans over the door, the wind catching with her long hair.
"Are we going out of the country?" she finally asks after we arrive at the dock. I slide out of the car and take steps to the open trunk.
"Do you want to?" I grab two duffel bags from the trunk and put them over my shoulder.
"Does it matter what I want?" she huffs, yet tailing me to the yacht at the farthest left. Luigi will take my car back to the mansion later while Franco and my other men are already on the yacht.
"Of course, it does." I reply, gesturing her to walk in front of me and boarding first. My men greet us the moment we join them. The captain and ship crews are lined up, welcoming us with friendly smile.
I nod at them in response and they're back to work. Two of them take the duffel bags to our room.
I and Sofia ascend the stairs to the second level. She goes straight towards the railings to overlook the blue sea as I sprawl on the half-circular booth. One of the crew immediately serves us cocktails and hors d'oeuvre. The yacht is slowly departing.
"I guess you packed my clothes in those bags?" she questions as her back bends a little over the railings and her hair blowing wildly against the wind.
"Yeah." I smile slyly. She doesn't know where we would be going today. Or for how long. She may as well say I'm kidnapping her and I won't even deny it.
I really need to take a break from Sicily.
"Where are we going?" she asks again. I study her face for a moment. She's not showing any irritation anymore which means getting on this yacht isn't entirely a bad idea.
"Malta."
"All of a sudden?" my girl is smart I give her that. Sometimes I wish she didn't ask too many questions.
