Okay this will continue of the cliffhanger.... this is where things get a bit complicated.
"It didn't say raining people in the forecast," a brunette with huge chocolate brown eyes said innocently. "Ah, are you okay?" he asked in concern. The girl in his arms nodded hesitantly as she slid out of his arms. She wasn't accustomed to this type of behavior towards her. She wasn't sure if it was fake concern or real concern. She braved through her shyness and asked the question that was bugging her at the moment. She had a feeling that if she didn't ask now, she may never have the chance again.
"I-is it real?" she asked in almost a whisper. The boy before her looked confused. "Is what real?"
"Your c-concern Do you really care or are y-you just p-pretending?" He looked at her confused before sighing. She ducked her head so he wouldn't see her fear. "Of course I care, I mean you did just fall from a tree. It's not like you can fake worry about someone who fell from a high place," he explained. She wasn't convinced. "Why would you care for a stranger?"
He froze. "It's just my nature. My philosophy is a friend in need is a friend indeed," he gave a huge grin, then sweatdropped when she didn't look convinced. "A-anyways my name is Sawada Tsunayoshi," he noticed her eyes widen. "Whatever you heard about me trying to kill my brother is all in the past. I have moved on, but for some reason others haven't. So please don't be scared of me," he pleaded.
She nodded, and gave a small smile. She knew what it was like to be judged about things of the past. "I-I'm Haru Miura. Nice to meet you Sawada-san," she introduced her self in almost a whisper. To her surprise Tsuna smiled happily and slung his arm over her shoulder. "Call me Tsuna." She felt a warm fuzzy feeling in her chest. "So this... is what it's like to have a friend."
Tsuna was shocked. He never expected this world Haru to be friendless. It was a total contrast from the hyperactive and bubbly girl he knew. "Eh! You've never had a friends?!" he frowned at the thought. "Well Haru-chan we're gonna have to change that!" he yelled cheerfully.
Am I seeing things?, Haru asked herself. She was seeing sparkles behind the brunette and a freaking rainbow behind him. "Why are you surrounded by rainbows and sparkles?" she suddenly asked. Tsuna gave her a strange look, before she waved of the question. "N-never mind. I'm probably seeing things. I am a bit dizzy from the fall."
Tsuna nodded in understanding. After their little introduction they went to find shelter. They found an empty, dry gave to shelter through the storm.
~Meanwhile~
Reborn was busy training Nori and Sora Vongola's history. "I want you two read these books. I'll quiz you on the whole thing at the end of the day." Reborn tossed a pile of books at the two boys.
"Hey, these say 'Vongola History for DUMMIES' are you implying I'm stupid!!" Nori asked offended. Reborn just smirked and kicked the poor boy in the head. Sora shook his head. "Nori, maybe you should just go with it," he said quietly.
Reborn nodded. "He's right Bake-Nori. You should be more like your brother. Though a more confident version of him." Reborn regarded Sora as the more sensible of the two. He just needed to stop being so shy. Although Sora was popular he didn't really have any friends and was somewhat anti-social due to childhood trauma AKA Tsuna. Nori was confident enough, maybe even a little too confident. Smart but not necessarily practical. He decided to take it easy on the younger so he wouldn't be too scared. The last thing the boy needed was deeper scars. "Sora we need to work on your personality. Your too shy. You need confidence. If only we could transfer this airhead's extra confidence to you. He completely ignored the offended 'Hey!' in favor of throwing the book at Nori.
He went down stairs to get evening espresso from Nana. When he got down stairs said person was busy making diner. He noticed that a certain brunette wasn't around. "Tsunayoshi isn't home?" he asked Nana.
Nana almost jumped since she was so busy cooking that she didn't notice Reborn come in. "Ah Reborn-kun, no he isn't. He ran out suddenly a while ago," she said in strain. "So how are you liking your stay here?" she said as she turned back to her cheerful self.
"It's been amazing. Your boys are so well behaved... most of them anyway." He shook his head at the thought of the eldest Sawada twin.
Nana scowled. "I hope the brat hasn't been giving you trouble," she growled. She disliked her eldest son since the day of the incident.
~Flashback~
Nana had rushed to the hospital frantically when she heard her youngest son was in the hospital. She burst through the doors and headed straight for the desk. "H-hello I'm Sawada Nana can you please tell me where my son is," she asked quickly. When she heard he was in the operation room her world crashed down on her.
As she waited she paced the waiting room in utter shock. She never thought her little Tsu-kun would ever do such a thing. Sora and Tsuna got along very well, at least she thought so. When she was called she almost ran towards the room. She burst into tears at the sight of her son. He had burn marks all over him and a bandaged head. He had dozens of wires connected to him. At least 5 IVs and a oxygen mask on. He suffered from blood loss and internal breathing and a slightly crushed windpipe.
That day she felt something she had never felt before...hate.
~End flashback~
Her scowl deepened at the memory. "That's all he ever does."
Reborn was shocked at this. Iemitsu always said his wife was a bubbly and friendly individual. Never had her ever thought he'd see her show so much hate towards someone. Let alone her own son, but then again of course someone who has the nickname Little Demon was bound to be hated.
~Back to the cave~
Haru found that she liked Tsuna's company. He wasn't overwhelming. He didn't judge her and didn't expect anything from her. She wondered if that would change if he found out she was rich. "T-Tsuna-sama," she mumbled. The brunette hummed to show he was listening. "W-would your th-thoughts a-about me change i-if you knew I was different?" she asked nervously.
"What do you mean by different?" he asked in concern He sensed that Haru was scared of something but not sure what.
"W-well you see...people usually change their perception about me when they find out I'm rich. Th-they end up trying to u-use me." She looked up at him hopefully. He just smiled and laughed. "Well sorry I'm not like most people. I don't care about status. I'd care less if you tried to kill me first time we met as long as your a good person. And your a wonderful person Haru-chan," he gave a huge shit eating grin. Haru blushed at the complement at moved closer to Tsuna so they sat side by side. She slowly fell asleep leaning onto her new found friend.
Tsuna smiled when Haru fell asleep. He had a feeling that she would be at ease now. When the rain stopped he shook her awake. "haru, the rain stopped." The girl leaning on his woke up slowly and groggily stood up, yawned, and stretched.
They parted ways. Haru happily skipped home. She ignored her parents scolding and happily went to her room to listen to music. She would have to change her playlist. She didn't need anymore sad songs that described her life. She had a new life to start, and she needed some motivation.
As Reborn finished his espresso Tsuna returned. "Where have been?" he asked as he followed the taller boy upstairs. He noticed his students peeking from their studies. Tsuna gave a cryptic answer. "Around and around and around the town," he smiled and walked into his room.
Fear not readers, Tsuna is not getting a girlfriend. This is a strict no-pairing story. Okay it isn't strict but there will be no pairings. No fangirl Haru either She'll be a normal friend.
