I had packed up two bags of groceries and loaded them up in my trunk. Now, I was still in my sleeping clothes, no makeup on and messy hair flying everywhere which made few people stare at me in the market, but it didn't bother me at all.
What bothered me was Norris waking me up at 8 and begging me to come and help him with his meal prep, since he has already fucked it up twice leaving him with no more veggies to burn. I'm fully aware what I agreed to in Spain, but that wasn't how I imagined it to go. Fortunately for him he promised me some good spa day as a thank you. And no matter how hard I tried denying it, he was a part of my life and one thing about me is that once you enter that small friend circle I'll do anything to help you out.
It took me around 20 minutes to arrive to the address he sent me and when I tell you how loud I gasped once I saw how big his house was. This boy is ridiculous, he said it himself that he spends not even a total of four months there in a year and it's just because of the MCT. I guess that's what happens once you give a 23 year old shit ton of money...
I clicked the little button on the gate waiting for Norris to finally open it, only to be greeted by the image of him running out of the house in just sweats with a frightened look on his face. I quickly parked up in his driveway and got out of the car.
''You look busted.''
''Yeah, hello to you to, I think I broke the stove, can you fix it?''
He didn't even wait for my response, just grabbed my arm and rushed me in. I know that this race was really important to him, but he was acting maniac for the last 4 days. We only exchanged messages since I was shooting in London for Puma and neither of us had time to go out together, but I could sense his nerves and craziness even through the phone.
He placed me in his kitchen not even giving me a second to take off my shoes and just starred at me. I looked around only to see a big pile of plates filled up with dark brown or even black tiny things that I suppose were the previously mentioned veggies.
I looked to my right just to see the stove still being on with one pan on it full of frozen food. I quickly turned it off and just starred at it for a good minute.
''Fuck, you really do suck at cooking.'' I laughed and looked at his surprised face.
''Liv, this is not funny! I have to be at the gym in like two hours, I should already have everything prepped and...''
''And what? Chill Norris, everything is going to be ready in like an hour max. Just go and grab the groceries from my trunk and we can go from there.'' I tossed him the keys and started cleaning up enough to have at least one clean counter top.
I started preparing all the ingredients according to Johns recipe but before I could start I felt someone's presence. I looked up from the paper and almost had a heart attack. There was a brown haired man in his boxers looking at me with confused face.
''Umm, hi?''
''Hi? If you don't mind me asking who are you?'' This time I'm sure I was the one with a confusion written all over my face. ''Sorry, it's just I'm not good at keeping up with his girls.''
I felt how my cheeks started burning, but from anger and disappointment, that someone thought I was one of Norris' many ''girl friends''.
''Oh, you two already met.'' I looked at Lando with a laser piercing eyes, which made him blush and rub the back of his neck. ''Max, this is my girlfriend Olivia. Liv, this is my bestfriend Max.'' He came closer to me, but looked a bit scared and unsure if he could put his hand around me. ''Sorry I'm such a mess right now I forgot to tell you that I live with him.''
