Brooklyn had a ok child hood before her mom died after that her dad started using drugs and alcohol to cope with her mothers death
she is a loner and kinda shy but one school field trip changes almost everything
[ 2 weeks ago] [tw mention of alchihole/ drunk] My chest aching heart pounding ever limb in my body hurting and vision getting blurry as I hear it behind me I check the time on my watch "8 minutes"I think as I sprint to my house opening the door and immediately locking it once I got in "2 minutes left"I think sighing trying to catch my breath as I look at my shoulder "crap! I got scratched I'll deal with it later.." I think as my timer goes off.
I sprint up in bed with chills all over my body and my shoulder and legs sore.I check the time on my phone 12:01 I sigh in relief laying on my back and staring at the ceiling as i finally fall asleep. My alarm for me to get up for school didn't go off and I was 7 minutes late so i quickly get up and get some sweatpants an over-sized hoodie a pair of white sneakers.

And go to brush my hair and teeth. I go downstairs and make me a cup of coffee and see dad pasted out drunk on the couch once again. I get my back pack and get my AirPods, phone,phone charger, and put my energy drink and my school books in my backpack and i get my coffee before leaving the house I walk outside and get on my bike with my hood up and music in my ears. I finally get to school and get off the bus i walk into school and go to get my schedule "You're late what do you need?" The principal asked "Can i have my schedule please?" I ask "Here." He says handing my the paper I grab it and leave "ok first class,history." I think heading to the classroom "201 this is it right?" I think as i go in "you're late." The teacher I believe his name is Mr Thomas bc it says it on the board "I know I'm sorry I woke up late" i say tiredly "since it's the first day of school I'll give you a pass but next time you'll get a detention unless your here before me."Mr Thomas says
"okay" "Go take your seat" Mr Thomas says as i sit down "Now that everyone is here lets begin with introductions shall we? We'll go in alphabetical order.when it your turn state your first and last name and say something about yourself as an example ill go first."

"skylar graves I like to sketch ride my skateboard hang with friends and play guitar.""Im Taylor Hern'andez im in the mechanics club come say hi if you get the chance." Im Tyler Hernandez yes were twins im in the baseball club.
Now that introductions are done let's talk about the semester long group project
Today you will be choosing your group partners for the project and each group should consist of 6 or 7 people each. "Calm down brook he might let you work alone." Brooklyn thought. " oh and no one will be allowed to work alone the rest of the class will be about the project so go ahead and sit wherever you want with your group for today. We all huddle up in a group me,Ashlyn,Ben,Aiden,Taylor,Tyler,And Logan. "What was the point of having asigned seats if it was jut going to and up like this? I thought "our main focus this semester will be the history of Georgias oldest city Savannah. This is also what your project will be bout and the topics you'll choose to present on are stated in your rubric. Additionally there is a overnight field trip to go along with the project! Of course its optional however those who attend can get extra credit for your individual grade. If you are interested the permission slips are n m desk and include everything you need to know. For the rest of the period please choose what topic your group would like to present on. You've got 25 minutes so spend it wisely."(25 minutes later) The bell rings and everyone gets up. "Don't forget to to have them signed and brought back on Monday."Mr Thomas said "Group projects never go well ive already been dragged into a group chat." I think as a get a permission slip and walk out the classroom
