Tw: mentions of rape and torture during end of chapter

"Tell me when," Theo says, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Why?" Draco snarls, tugging at his blonde hair in frustration.

"Because I happen to have grown quite fond of Hermione and I need to know when,"
"Fourth year," Draco snarls before adding, "And Pansy knows all of this."

Theo rolls his eyes, "Not the point, what caused your doubts,"
Draco froze slightly, narrowing his eyes at Theodore, making Pansy smile slightly.

"Draco it isn't a big deal, we can all be honest about when we stopped believing,"
"And when did you stop believing Pansy," Draco snarls.

"When the war started, I thought that if they could be cruel enough to kill children then why should I trust what they say. That is when I really stopped believing. I think I had it easier because I wasn't acting for years which made it easier for me to stop."
"Luna for me," Theo adds in, "I had quite the crush on her in 6th. Honestly I think I was missing my blonde friend quite a bit." He gives Draco a pointed look while saying this.
"I kept trying to look for you and ended up watching Luna accidentally quite a lot. I don't remember when I stopped looking for you and started looking for her."

Blaise grins, "Lovesick fool."
"How's Ginevra," Draco says pointedly and Pansy snorts into her drink.
Blaise glares at Draco before saying, "For the last time, we are just friends,"
"And fuckbudies but you will take everything you can wont you,"
Blaise scoffs, "says the one in an arranged marriage. You have been running away from the girl you're in love with all year. And to add on, I changed when Hermione punched Draco. Because to know a Malfoy was so scared of a muggleborn completely altered my brain. Luckily I didn't have to fake much because I didn't like her for her personality, not for her blood."
Pansy smirks and raises an eyebrow at Draco, "You're turn. Why was it?"

Draco tuts quietly against the edge of his glass before taking a long sip, smoothly draining the liquor from the glass.

"Hermione. If muggleborns and halfbloods were so inferior, how was she beating me in every fucking subject? How did she manage to get Potter and Weasel out of any and every situation perfectly every time? Why was she better than most of us at magic with such little practice? The more I saw what believing in pureblood supremacy entailed, the less interested I became."

"Draco?" Pansy says softly and his eyes dart up to hers as she watches him too innocently.
"I don't think she beat you in flying," the corner of her mouth tugs up as she finishes the sentence and Theo erupts in laughter, slipping off his seat.
"I beat her in other things," Draco murmured, more to himself than anyone else as he took another sip of his drink.

Pansy scoffs, having heard his words, "What else did you beat her in?"
"Charms and potions during third year, Charms in 4th, she got me narrowly in potions. I got her in transfiguration in 6th and I remain better than her in Ancient Runes. Something that aggravates her more than anything else."

"Why ancient runes?" Blaise asks leaning forward.
"I used to read the Malfoy books on Runes for fun," he says, twisting the last word slightly.

"How much did you beat her by?"
"Most recently? Half a mark. She lost a point in not using the proper method to find the result and I lost half a point for missing a small step. Though even Granger did say that step was common knowledge and was worked out in the head and never on paper."

Pansy rolls her eyes, "You're so annoying?"
"Why? Because you got kicked out of Runes?" Theo mocks.
"Remember when she spent all her time in divination out of spite?"
"Yea she swore she saw..." Blaise trails off before narrowing his eyes at the now smirking brunette.
"Oh my fucking lord! You saw Draco kissing Hermione! Remember she saw that!"
