Luna spun around in a circle as she skipped toward the Slytherin common room. A small smile stayed on her lips despite the whispers surrounding her as she rushed down the stairs.

"You should not have told me to shut up," A voice snarls from the room she is walking past. She stops and peeks in, to make sure no one is getting hurt. The back of Draco's head shocks her, his platinum hair the first thing she sees.

Looking past him she sees Hermione, who wears a look of frustration.
"Well maybe you shouldn't blame me! You are even more obvious with your whole I would never intentionally hurt you speech!"

"Oh I'm so sorry Granger," he mocks, "Would you rather I laughed at you and told you it was deserved. And then when you miraculously get the cure to it which is only known by the Malfoy family everyone will wonder why I didn't just help you in front of them!"

"You didn't have to be so caring about it! I would think you were in love with me too!"
"Well maybe I am!" he screams, waving his arms in the air.

Luna watches her jaw drop in shock as she says what looks like, "What?"

As their voices get quieter, Luna cant hear anything else they say so she makes her way further down to the dungeons.

Entering the common room she searches the room for Blaise.
"Hey butterfly," Theo murmurs into her neck, having approached her from behind.
She offers him a smile, "Do you know where Blaise is?" she asks.

He frowns slightly, pretty sure he is on his way down, he gestures to the boys dormitories.
Luna watches patiently for a few minutes until Blaise enters beside Adrian, Blaise freezes when he sees both pairs of eyes on him.

"Blaise, if Draco wanted to tell someone something, who would he go to beside you?" she says when she has his full attention.

Blaise frowns and grumbles about something under his breath before gesturing frustratedly at Adrian who trues to hide his smile in response.

"Adrian, walk with me." Luna demands, turning to give Theo a quick kiss before walking out.

Adrian follows quickly, raising an eyebrow at Theo as he passes him.

"Need something Lovegood?" he says when they are alone.
"Are they dating?"
"Pardon?"
"Draco and Hermione."
"Why would I know?"
"He said he loves her,"
"I highly doubt that,"
"They were arguing and it was heavily implied."
"Explain. Now."
"He said he might love her."

Adrian tuts under his breath, "Fucking idiot," he mumbles.

"I can help," she says.
He scans her over, his jaw ticking in frustration.
"He will get mad,"
"Would you rather I share it with the group?"
He furrows his brows and runs a hand through his hair.

"Where do I even start," he mumbles.
"At the beginning,"

He sighs, "I am going to give you a very vague story, Hermione can tell you the rest. Ok?"

She nods and sits down on a chair in the room, waiting patiently for him to continue.

"Their souls are connected. They surpassed every stage of connection where the bond can be undone. So now they are trying to find a way around it without splitting their souls."

"But what traumatic event did they go through for their souls to seek their soulmates."

"No idea, don't think they know either,"

They stay in silence for a moment, "Are you the only person who knows?"
"Yes, and now you,"

"What have the done to complete all those stages?"

"Slept together," he says simply, "They have completed stage 2,"

She frowns, her eyes darting up to his in surprise.

"How many stages did they already have completed before this year,"
"Around five,"
She nods, "Makes sense why they struggled to stop it,"
He nods, "Draco is gonna kill me,"
"Not if I can be helpful, my dad used to keep some of those books with people who experienced soul bonds."
"I thought they were all burnt down,"
"They were, but my dad had multiple names documented, he tried to talk to them,"

"So there is a chance they can find a way to live despite this,"

"Or live with it."

"He doesn't truly love her, you know that."

"You don't know that for sure."

"We both know they will find a way to break the bond, and the emptiness that will come after that," he pauses, sighing as he looks up at her.
"The emptiness will be painful, and they will need to stay away from each other to keep the bond broken. And once it is permanently broken, at least one of them will have moved on,"
"And you are so sure that would be Draco,"
"Draco is my best friend, I have to hope it would be him, or I would have to watch him suffer."
"I don't want Hermione to suffer," Luna counters.
"Then lets hope both of them only like each other because of the bond."
