warnings: there's a little smut

Pregnancy

-It wasn't like you had been actively trying. It just happened. You both wanted to have kids at some point, you had talked about it, but it wasn't exactly planned.

-Your period was late. You took the test when Alex was away on tour, wanting to spare him the disappointment in case it was negative.

-But, it was positive. You wanted to scream and instantly tell Alex the good news, yet you kept it to yourself until he came home from tour.

-You prepared a little gift box with a tiny bodysuit and placed the test inside to surprise him.

-He was over the moon. He couldn't believe his luck. Tears were filling his eyes when he saw the positive test and he clung onto you for dear life.

-That night was spent in each other's arms between tears, hugs and promises. You were incredibly happy, but also scared af. Turns out- so was Alex.

-Alex promised you to quit smoking. He didn't want you or the baby to come even close to cigarette smoke. He did his best, although you knew he was having a cig when he was going out, which you didn't mind.

-Pregnancy wasn't easy for you, unfortunately. Constant morning sickness ad nausea, back pain, lack of appetite, exhaustion, mood swings.

-Alex would always check in on you a couple of times a day when he wasn't with you to make sure you were okay.

-In the evenings, he'd run you a bath or massage your hands, feet and legs. They always felt so heavy, and his magical hands massaged away all the knots in your body.

-When you told both your parents and friends, everyone was buzzing for you. Well okay, someone made a silly joke here and there, but it didn't affect your excitement in the slightest.

-Miles chewed your ear off about taking the little one for playground adventures, to the beach or God knows where, so they could have a good, fun time with Uncle Miles.

-You loved shopping for baby clothes. Alex always shook his head with a smile when he saw the huge shopping bags you carried home. "Baby's gonna need a bigger closet than ours."

-Buying for a baby was also exhausting, though. You had such a long list and stuff you needed to remember buying. Alex helped you, of course, choosing a pram and a car seat and a bed and all that.

-The gender reveal! It was nothing special, you didn't want a huge party or anything, but Alex made your doctor write the gender down and put it in an envelope. He had a giant black balloon made with paper scraps in them, yellow for boy and purple for girl. You did the honours of popping it- and you screamed when hundreds of purple paper scraps were flying through the room.

-One night, a weird pain woke you up. Alex freaked out and took you straight to the hospital in the middle of the night, where the doctor informed you it had been just Braxton Hicks. "Braxton what?" "Braxton Hicks contractions," the doctor explained, "it's the body's way of practicing for real contractions, preparing the muscles. Nothing to worry about."

-After that, Alex bought books about pregnancy and giving birth- he wanted to understand everything that was going to happen and be prepared. He even learnt some technical terms and Latin words, so he'd be able to understand the nurses and midwives.

-As you got closer to your due date, you had to see your doctor more frequently. Alex made sure to accompany you to each and every appointment.

-And pregnancy sex?! Dear God, Alex was all over you. He'd always joke about how fast you were getting riled up and wet, and how quick you were able to cum. "Fuck, you feel so good. Makes me want to fuck another one into you."
