Peter's P.O.V

What the fuck just happened!?

The last thing I remember was the chip in my neck spasming and the next thing I know, the fucking Avengers are acting like we're all friends and shit.

...three years tho.

They said it had been three years.

I needed to know the answer so I swung down to a little cafe on the corner of a street and went inside to find a newspaper or something.

Sitting on one of the bar tables was an open magazine, I went over to it and looked at the open page.

It was some random article about the Olympics being held in Japan but the article wasn't what made my stomach almost completely come out of my moouth.

The date in the top corner of the article read; June 9th, 2021.

I stumbled into a table, causing the salt and pepper to fall to the ground and smash.

"Oh my god, i-im so s-sorry." I stuttered and collapsed into the chair and panting like mad, what the fuck is wrong with me?

I felt like I was having a heart attack, the waitress that came over just sat down beside me.

"Hey, it's all good, don't worry about it, lovely." she smiled warmly at me but I couldn't breathe. "Would you like a glass of water?"

I only nodded vigorously as I gasped desperately for air and tried to control the shaking in my legs and hands.

I drank the water and slowly but surely, my breathing slowed down a bit and the waitress was rubbing calming circles on my arm.

"It's ok, everything is just fine." her voice was so soothing, like honey.

"What's wrong w-with me?" I whispered out. Not completely sure why I was fine to have this stranger talk to me and touch me but it had been a confusing day and I needed a nap.

"There is nothing wrong with you, lovely. You just had a bit of a panic attack is all." she said quietly, "Do you have a history of anxiety and panic attacks?"

My brow furrowed and I had to try my best not to scoff, but a part of me wasn't too certain that the answer was no so I just shrugged.

She smiled at me and said, "Is there anyone I can call? Or can I get you a ride home or something?"

I shook my head, I had no one, I couldn't go back to Hydra and I definitely didn't trust the Avengers enough to ask them for help, so I had no one.

She looked at me sadly but I hated people's pity more than anything else in the world so I scowled and looked at my lap, fidgeting with my hands.

Why do I fidget so much all of a sudden?

"Well, until you're feeling better, can I get you a drink or something?" The lady offered kindly.

"Could I have more water please?" I said, not looking up from my hands.

"Of course, I'll be right back." she walked behind the counter and out the back door.

When she came back out carrying a sealed bottle of water she was also carrying a tray of drinks that she placed on a table near the counter before coming over to me.

"There you go, lovely." She said as she handed me the water bottle and before she walked off again she turned around and said, "I love your costume by the way, it's so realistic."

It was at this moment that I looked down and saw with horror that I was wearing a blue, red and black suit.

Much too colorful for Hydra, stupid Avengers.
