The kitchen fell quiet after Elijah’s outburst. Rebekah was just as shocked as Jo, only Freya knew the whole truth. Rebekah knew half of it, he remained in the joyous unknown before.

-So...Are we gonna talk about this...?-she asked reluctantly glancing at Freya

-I don’t think we should further discuss the situation. Jo knows what I wanted her to know and as Elijah said it’s Klaus’ private thing.

-You can’t just dump a bomb on us then leave us without any actual information.

-She is right, in order to make sure this doesn’t happen again I need to know what I can’t do or say around him. - Jo put her hand over Freya's hand - He has enough on his plate already.

Freya gave in and told them everything about the situation and gave as punctual description about the things that can trigger Niklaus as she could. (I won’t go in detail, because I want everyone to enjoy the story without having to skip parts) They agreed on what Jo can do to avoid these things in the future and said their goodbyes. Jo knew he wouldn’t be able to finish her tests anyway, so she spared some time for herself

Meanwhile the girls talked Elijah approached Klaus gently.

-Niklaus? - he said after the door locked behind him - How are you feeling? Do you need anything?

-Can you call Cami for me, please?

-I’m not sure if she is in town but I will try my best.

-Tell her to come as soon as she can.

-Everything okay, brother? Should I be concerned about something?

-I heard everything, Elijah. I’m not mad or anything at you. I just need a little alone time. I can go to my room if you want that, I don’t want to invade yours... - he sat up slowly moving towards his chair

-No Nik, you’re welcome to stay here as long as you feel comfortable. I’m calmer if you sleep next to me.

-’Lijah I’m not a kid anymore...

-I know. But you’ll always be my baby brother Nik. - he turned to leave

-’Lijah... I sleep better beside you as well...

As Elijah left the room to make the call, the atmosphere in the Mikaelson mansion remained heavy with the weight of the recent revelations. The conversation between Freya, Rebekah, and Jo lingered in the air, leaving a somber tone behind.

Meanwhile, Klaus’ thoughts swirled in the aftermath of the unexpected discussion. He appreciated Elijah's concern and understanding, but the vulnerability he had exposed still gnawed at him. As he waited for Cami, he couldn't shake off the feeling that the fragile balance he maintained within the family had shifted. Yes, it was Rebekah’s right to know everything too, but he didn’t want it to be this way.

In the living room, Rebekah and Freya exchanged a concerned glance as Elijah returned to them. Rebekah, always the one to voice her thoughts, finally broke the silence.

-Freya, maybe we should've never told Jo. It's Klaus's business, not hers - Rebekah stated with a hint of frustration

-If there will be anyone Klaus wants to blame I’ll take it Bex, you didn’t know and I think it’s better this way. - she hugged her  - I understand your concerns, but she really needed to know to avoid inadvertently causing Klaus harm. We can't continue acting like nothing's wrong.

Rebekah, pacing the room, couldn't hide her worry. -I just don't want Klaus to think we're all walking on eggshells around him. He hates that.

-We need to find a balance, Rebekah. It's not about tiptoeing around Klaus, it's about understanding and supporting him. This changes nothing between us, it only deepens our understanding of his struggles. It didn’t change anything in Elijah’s and my love towards him, maybe that Elijah isn’t leaving him alone with woman on one on one if Klaus doesn’t request otherwise, which I fucked up today by leaving him alone.
