The door creaked as I entered. I was eventually greeted by fresh air. I walked towards the end of the rooftop. Beautiful view can be seen up here.
Every now and then I would come here to clear my mind. I realized this time I wasn't alone when I saw a figure walking towards me.
Neither of us talked. It was always like this with them, pride consuming both of us. I eventually got tired of always being the first one who gives in.
The last time we fought, I decided to wait. I waited and waited and waited, but it lead into nothing. I guess their ego was bigger to begin with.
I regretted everything except that. Cutting them off was one of the best decision I made. In my mind, I thought I was finally free, but there is still a last step.
I am about to do the thing I always do back then, but this time, it surely will be the last one.
"Thank you for everything." I said. "Thank you and I'm sorry too." not expecting the words that came from their mouth, I smiled. I took my time to walk away. Closure, that's all I ever wanted.
