Part II: New Beginnings And Hopeful Futures [Explicit]

I had absolutely no idea where Shin wanted to go while we were travelling across Peridea. But I kind of didn't really care, as long as she was by my side, we could've ran for miles and ran for hours and never get tired. 

"We can stop here for the night?"

Shin pointed to a cave entrance as I nodded, taking us to the cave. The air was cold and crisp, and I didn't realize I was shivering until Shin said something.

"God, Sabine, you're absolutely freezing right now... Let me start a fire for the night."

I looked out at the stars. I'll be honest, being stranded here on Peridea was not exactly on my bingo card, and I hoped that Ezra had managed to get home to warn Hera and the others about Thrawn's return... I was worried about a lot of things back at home, knowing I wouldn't be able to get back...

"Sabine..? You zoned out a bit. Are you okay?"

I shook the thoughts out of my head as Shin cuddled next to me. She was... perfect in so many ways, it was almost scary how fast I fell in love with her, considering our... rough start not so long ago.

"I'm fine, I think... just... thinking about a lot of stuff right now."

Shin paused for a moment, and I swear that I could see the gears turning in her head.

"You're worried about Thrawn and Ezra, aren't you?"

I nodded as Shin sighed quietly. 

"I'm not... the best at this sort of thing but... remember what your Master said to us... we have to trust in the Force and hope that Ezra got back home. Whatever Thrawn's planning... is out of our hands now. And if I'm being honest... I like being here, in Peridea. With you."

I bit my lip as I blushed.

"Shin... how long have you had these feelings for me...?"

Shin shifted as she stared at the crackling flames in front of us before she spoke again. 

"Do you remember when I ambushed you back in Lothal and we clashed with our lightsabers? When I... when I stabbed you? That was the first time I started having feelings for you... I tried so hard not to run to you after you went down before your Master came in... I hated myself for hurting you like that.."

I turned to look at her as she wiped away tears, hugging her knees to make herself small. I was definitely going to regret this, but I couldn't stand seeing her so sad...

"You totally are going to regret dating me, Shin."

Shin cocked her head in confusion.

"Oh, yeah. I have a lot of bad habits. I fart constantly in my armor, so it stinks really bad right now, and I hog the blankets and absolutely Dutch oven the covers with my farts."
