Jungkook misses his homeland.

He hasn’t been away from his home for such a long time considering how much of a homebody he is, but now it feels like ages when it’s only been several days. He has already explored the garden, and there’s a lot more to explore but Taehyung – he still can’t believe they’re on the first name basis, even though he is the one who suggested it in the first place – has taken it upon himself to show Jungkook around whenever he’s free. And it’s always a fortune to spend time with him.

He’s been getting bored in his chambers, there’s nothing to do other than gaze outside through the balcony or explore the already known parts of the royal garden. Jihoon comes and goes, most of the time he just informs Jungkook regarding all the gossip floating around the castle. It takes all his self-control to not talk –it’s not gossip okay, it’s not – about his and Taehyung’s interactions with him. That is something private and he doesn’t want to disclose that to anyone, be it his friends back at Wisteria or his personal attendant in Arzhel.

The thought of the alpha alone sets the butterflies in his stomach wild. He’s come to look forward to their occasional visit to the royal gardens, it’s the only place that makes his nerves calm because he’s surrounded by the flora he can spend hours admiring and studying. Taehyung might’ve deduced a similar reasoning, hence he wordlessly picks Jungkook up from his chambers to whisk him away to the only place in Arzhel that’s similar to his homeland.

When he was in Wisteria, he used to go exploring the royal gardens or the kingdom forest’s safe borders to explore where wild animals weren’t spotted. Then he used to join the council most of the days with his father and help him with issues, with the growing problem of Vermillion invading their land borders more and more as each day passed, however That initiated his training on how to wield a sword.

He sighs, it’s not like he can’t go outside, but he doesn’t have company or he simply doesn’t know where to go. He doesn’t want to bother the alpha just because he is feeling bored and needy. A pout grows on his lips unconsciously.

A knock startles him out of his daze, he walks to the door from where he was busy admiring the outside. To say he is surprised to see Lord Kim standing there with his ever so straight posture and stoic face, would be an understatement

“L-Lord Kim?”

“Would you like me to show you around the castle?”

Taehyung signs another document, he’s been crowded with work lately and the petulant pouts and huffy replies from the Prince tells him he noticed it too. Unfortunately, there’s nothing he can do to cure the prince’s boredom for the time being while he’s swamped with scrolls.

“Kim Taehyung!”

Seojoon thunders from where he’s sitting beside him arranging the documents that are to be signed, and there’s a stack of them, as he arranges the next and then the next…

Seojoon looks furious for the lack of better words, eyes ed which makes sense considering he’s been arranging the documents for Taehyung to sign and put the seal on even before them.

Taehyung looks up at the thunder of his name, raising a questioning brow at his friend for his outburst.

“You need to get out of this place, You’ve been working yourself to the bone for a week now, for moon’s sake you’re going to be married , your soon-to-be husband is in your castle. Go spend time with him, get to know him more, and do all the things a soon-to-be royal couple does”
