After blushing and stuttering through the hallways they finally reach the inner chambers where the trail of wedding robes were supposed to take place. As the spouses were not allowed to look at each other in wedding robes before the wedding Taehyung was supposed to leave, but given the uncomfort Jungkook might face while being alone in a strange place Taehyung was put into a thin veiled chamber.
Jungkook had gripped his sleeves timidly asking him to stay, biting his lips anxiously looking somewhere else because he was shy. How is Taehyung supposed to refuse that when the boy worried his own lip in consciousness clutching at his sleeves desperately as though if he didn’t grasp it fast enough Taehyung would flee.
Taehyung had no qualms complying to his request when the other looked so cute asking him though, he minded so little when it came to Jungkook but couldn’t find himself to scowl or repulsed by the fact. Jungkook had the potential to elicit unexpected reactions from Taehyung and within Taehyung surprisingly.
“My Lord, how do you like the robes?”
The tailor asked with a polite smile, he was a considerably old man with a frail frame and his talent spoke through his creations, one of them which Jungkook was wearing and skillfully crafted he might add. It fit Jungkook’s frame like a second skin, the color exquisite complimenting his tone.
“I cannot see it but I can surely say you look beautiful in it, darling prince.”
“If you cannot see me then how can you say that?”
Jungkook says cheeks flushing pink when the alpha –from behind the curtains if he might add– speaks as though he’s seen it all.
“I don’t have to look to know you’re looking beautiful Jungkook.”
Taehyung says, saying ‘look’ as if it’s a mere inconvenience he has to do every time, as though he knows no matter what Jungkook will look beautiful. And the sheer determination in his voice makes Jungkook splutter.
“You’re being awful my Lord.”
“Now, how is a man supposed to live when even the genuine praises are taken for mockery.”
Taehyung says in a solemn voice, he can imagine the alpha folding his hands on his chest and shaking his with closed eyes and pursed lips, he muffles a giggle on his sleeves at the mental image of the king of Crimson Land, –the red beast they call him, they fear him pfft– just a simple man to Jungkook, a little tease too.
“How am I supposed to live when my own alpha is to make fun of me mercilessly?”
Jugkook asks in a playful retorts, knowing very well the other might be sporting a smile all along from the tone of his voice, he’s not at all far from the truth.
“Make fun you say My Prince, can’t I just praise my fiance because he’s an otherworldly beauty bestowed upon this very earth as a charm- ”
Jungkook makes a retching noise when Taehyung speaks so flirtatiously in front of everyone while he’s hidden by the veil leaving a blushing stuttering Jungkook in open eyes for the tailors and robe attendants to see.
“ Taehyung- ”
He hisses with a familiar redness crawling up his neck, he’s so going to hit the alpha right now he swears to the moon -
“What My Prince? Am I not allowed to praise my soon-to-be husband you say?”
The alpha says in an innocent voice and honest to moon Jungkook if not for the wedding robe on his person he would’ve pulled open the silken veil to glare to Taehyung to tell him how seriously Jungkook is angry with him, mentally pouts knowing even if he did that the alpha would coax him with sweet words in a matter for few moments. Seriously Jungkook is an easy, easy person when it comes to Lord kim and even he can’t refuse it.
