Chapter 4

Yashiro is speechless. She just sits there, staring at her friend with wide eyes. Staying here? What's that supposed to mean? Her implications wandered on and on until she finally decided to ask. 

Her tone is quiet, almost a whisper, "What do you mean by that..?"

Amane just chuckles quietly to himself as he stands up. He looked up at the night sky one last time before he offered his hand to Yashiro to help her up. "I think it's a good time for us to go, now. It's starting to get cold, and late."

The girl hesitated, sighing softly to herself because she knew she wasn't going to get an answer. This kid is so mysterious, but she wants to learn more about him. He's such a sweet guy, too, how does he not have any friends besides her? She ends up taking his hand, wobbling a bit as he pulls her up.

"Would you like me to walk you home, Nene?"

"Sure, Amane... I'd like that." She looks over at him and smiles sheepishly. 

The boy smiled back before they made their way to the exit of the school. Yashiro led the way to her house, as Amane had no idea where it was, obviously. They walk a few more blocks before stopping in front of her home.

"Well, here it is!" She turns, studying Amane's face before backing up a bit. "Thanks for keeping me company today, Amane..." She takes one of his hands in hers. 

"Please... Stay safe, okay?"

He blushes a bit and smiles softly at Nene. She's so sweet, and Amane was still kind of hurt after hearing about her crush on Teru. "I will!" He waved as she walked into her house and sighed to himself. 

"Only for you, Nene."

Soon enough, it's the next morning and students are making their way to the school. Classes haven't started yet, so most of the students are taking the time to eat breakfast. Yashiro, Kou, and Mitsuba are sitting together at a small table, eating their breakfast.

"Did you guys know that there's an aquarium opening today? We should go, maybe Radish-Chan and her boyfriend can have a date there." Mitsuba teases, a smirk showing on his face as he looks at Nene, who is clearly angry at him. 

Her face turned a bright red and she almost dropped her coffee. "Mitsuba-Kun, stop it! He's not my boyfriend!"

Kou chokes on his breakfast before punching Mitsuba in the arm. "Mitsuba, Senpai likes Teru-Nii, not Amane! Stop teasing her!"

"Are you sure about that, Kou?"

Yashiro's face is still a bright red and she starts to fidget with her hair, twisting it around her finger. As she takes a sip of her coffee, Teru and Akane walk over to their table. 

"Hey guys! How is everyone today?" Akane sits next to Yashiro, placing a little box of his breakfast down on the table. 

"Hmph... Fine." Mitsuba pouts while taking another bite of his food. 

Kou excitedly waves to both of them, "Hey Akane!! Hi Teru-Nii!!" The pink boy sitting next to him giggles to himself, he thinks it's cute when Kou gets excited. He acts just like a puppy.

Teru sits next to his brother and does his iconic smile, ruffling his hair. "Good morning, guys. Good morning, Yashiro."

Nene squealed happily in her mind. 'Teru is so handsome!!' she thought. He even said hi separately to HER! She blushes a bit, waving shyly at Teru.

"Good morning, Teru-Senpai..."

Mitsuba doesn't say anything. He just glares at Teru for a moment, taking a sip of his orange juice before slamming it down on the table. Kou just shakes his head as the smaller boy inches closer to him. Akane laughs and glances over at Teru.
