After some time, they arrived at a huge warehouse.
May took Sou's hand and they went into the warehouse.
Inside the warehouse, there were hundreds of humans.
Sou went pale.
The humans were all chained inside cages.
May said, "Sou, which human do you like? I will buy you any human you want to eat."
Sou trembled. May is too scary!
Sou felt terribly disgusted by May.
"I don't want any humans to eat.", Sou answered.
"Please just take a look, darling.", May carried Sou up.
The slaveholder of the plantation came and bowed.
"I feel deeply honoured that such a high being as you, a half vampire, came to this mere plantation. What kind of human would you like to buy?"
May responded, "Show us the most beautiful and unique human you have."
The slaveholder grinned, "Of course. I will show you my most prized slave."
The slaveholder guided them to a cage.
In the cage, there was a beautiful boy with ink-black hair and glowing purple eyes.
Sou could smell the blood of the human boy for whatever reason. 'Probably because I am a half-vampire', he thought to himself.
The blood of the boy smelled so sweet that Sou could not help but drool.
The moment Sou noticed that he was drooling, he felt a deep sting of guilt. He even imagined how his sharp teeth sink into the neck of the boy.
Sou was so embarassed by his indecent thoughts that he buried his head in May's chest.
May squealed at the cuteness of Sou and she blushed a little.
The slaveholder asked, "What do you think of this gem? Is he not beautiful?
May looked at Sou lovingly, "Sou, what do you think of that thing? Should we buy that?"
Sou looked at the human boy. The boy's purple eyes looked breathtaking but somehow also empty without any emotions.
Sou answered, "I don't know. He looks lonely to me."
May was stunned, "You have sympathy for a human being?"
"Isn't that normal?", Sou frowned.
May said truthfully, "Not really. Maybe it is because you are half-human."
"I want to buy him.", Sou felt a need to have the human boy. Maybe he is also slowly becoming like May and the other vampires. Sou felt disgusted with himself.
"Alright. We will buy that human boy. How much does that human cost?", May questioned.
"5 gold coins.", the slaveholder grinned.
May gave him the gold coins.
"Thanks for the business", the slaveholder's eyes flashed with delight.
The slaveholder opened the cage and gave May the leash of the human boy.
"Stand up, human.", May ordered with cold eyes.
Sou was frightened by May's cold behaviour. He was reminded of the nickname he gave to May, "The Monster".
The human boy didn't react to May's command.
May sighed. She pulled on the leash und dragged the human boy with her.
