Bo has spent the past several days primarily in the hatchery. It's the one place only Lilith has access to, Lucy can't even enter, because of the charms and spells cast on the entrance. Lilith wanted to be certain her newborns were not taken advantage of by other demons.
On the rare occasions he has left, Lilith or Lucy have escorted him personally. He's begun training with Lucy, much to Lilith's dismay. Lucy has taught him, his tail can be used as a weapon. But right now, several of his sisters are crowded around his nest.
"You really only want to feed from one man?" Bella asks unbelieving. She shakes her head and rolls her eyes. "Not me. I'll never settle down with my food." She laughs, Bo giving her an unimpressed glance.
"So, you're really dating a human? What's he like?" Wendy asks, ignoring her sister's taunts.
"He's so handsome and kind and, he loves me. Just the way I am." Bo smiles softly. "He asks me to lose the glamour, saying he wants to see the real me. He's so tender and gentle with me and, he says he wants to protect me." He frowns, thinking of Mammon. "I, I told him about Mammon. I'm worried, he'll be in danger because of me."
"Aw, don't worry little brother." Wendy smiles, patting his knee. "He can't cross the barrier, remember?"
"But, he could send someone else to do his bidding." Bo says, twisting his fingers anxiously. "You know he has some loyal followers. I hate that I can't talk to Sean from here. Make sure he's okay." Wendy and Bella exchange a concerned glance, Bo rolling onto his side and curling up.
"Give me his address." Bella sighs. "You know I go out hunting every night. I'll pop in and check on your human for you."
"Really?!" Bo sits up excitedly, hugging her tight. Bella grins, stroking his hair.
"Why not. Gotta make sure he's worthy of our baby brother." Bella winks, Bo smiling happily.
"Thanks big sister!" Bo bites his lip, knowing Sean won't be attracted to Bella, but still a bit uneasy.

Sean has spent days practically locked in his studio. He's made impressive progress on both the sculpture and the painting. When he misses Bo, he sketches him. Now, there are dozens of drawings littering the studio floor. Bo looking down at him during sex, Bo laying face down on the bed wearing nothing but a smile, Bo boxing, and so many more. He sighs, realizing just how much he misses his little demon boyfriend. He's wearing only a pair of faded and torn jeans, stepping out onto the balcony for some fresh air. He senses he's not alone and glances around, frowning at Michael watching him from a lower balcony. Michael swoops up, perching on the railing and smirking.
"Not who you were hoping for?" Michael asks, Sean shaking his head honestly.
"He's not here. What do you want?" Sean asks, his voice weary.
"Nothing. I'm here to guard you." Michael says, Sean looking at him in confusion. "I've noticed two demons casing your apartment. So, I'm here to make sure they behave." He shrugs. "If something happened to you, I don't know how he'd handle it. So, stay on alert." His wings flap and he rises to the rooftop, Sean heading back inside.
"Demons, angels, what the hell am I doing in the middle of this?" Sean runs a hand through his hair, plopping down onto the bed. He sees a discarded sketch of Bo smiling and picks it up. "It'd all be worth it, to be with you." He flops onto his back and finally gives in to exhaustion.

Sean wakes up in a dark room. He hears a tapping at the balcony doors and rises cautiously. He peers out into the darkness and grins, Bo has turned his back to the doors, glancing around. Sean opens the door and tugs him in, but pauses at the unfamiliar look in Bo's eyes. He holds him at arms length, Bo looking him up and down with a grin.
