Rami put on her black jogging shoes and grabbed her bag. She grunted as she realised that the books inside the bag were a little too heavy for her liking. She flung the bag over her shoulder and her hand bent in an uncomfortable position. She winced and adjusted her hand.

Rami walked out of her room and down a flight of stairs to the front door. She opened the door and hissed as the bright sun hurt her eyes. She let them adjust before walking to the car.

Teegan's mother honked the car horn, getting Rami's attention. Rami walked over to the red Chevy and hopped in, sitting in the back seat as Teegan sat next to her mother at the front. Teegan's mom started the car up and pulled out of the drive way, heading towards the high school.

You'll never be accepted, freak.

You know what will happen if you stay with these people?

Trust no one

Rami shook her head then placed her fingertips on her temples. Teegan turned around to face Rami.

"Are you hearing them?" She asked.

"Yes....." Rami answered.

"What are they saying?" Teegan asked.

Rami stayed quiet for a moment, before shaking her head softly. Teegan had a worried look on her face, so did her mother.

The driver of the car pulled over.

"Have at school girls" Teegan's mom said. Teegan and Rami waved goodbye before walking towards the giant building.

It never changes....
