It has been three days since the funeral happened. Although Jeongguk still hasn't gone home (to his own home) and it must be safe to say that Taehyung too doesn't wants the guy to back.

They've been spending time together whilst making snacks, cooking food or either just staring at the beautiful tones taking over the sky whenever dawn arrives.

It's a slow process, to bring Taehyung out of the trauma and grief but Jeongguk can see the little dove accepting the loss and trying his best move forward. One of the signs would be—Taehyung's getting his books from his bag and completing them on his own; even asking Jeongguk to help him with history and mathematics.

Taehyung's friends came over today, mostly to give him the notes and also to console him but it's quite surprising how Taehyung hasn't cried or even seemed sad about his mother's death. Maybe it's his coping mechanism; just how he gets involved what his friends say or what Jeongguk tells him to do.

Moreover, the way he used to act a little bratty and stubborn—it's all gone. The stubbornness and lack of respect, it's not present in his behaviour anymore. The boy is just too soft compared to how he was just a couple days ago.

Jeongguk was quite surprised by the sudden change, that's why he ended up asking the younger about it and in return he was told, "I used to act so because my mum was there to deal with my tantrums and consequences of them. But now—I don't think anyone would like my crude behaviour at all. I just don't want anyone to hate me, gukkie.."

Jeongguk couldn't help but embrace the younger in a way that could explain how precious the younger was for him and how ready he was to deal with and embrace whatever Taehyung had to give him; even if it were tantrums and his silly attitude.

On the forth day of Jeongguk staying with his lover—Taehyung brought up the betrayal Jeongguk had bestowed upon him—by pushing him under the bus just so he could save himself from his father's wrath.

To say that Jeongguk was ashamed and embarrassed would be an understatement. He thought and wished that the younger would have forgotten that incident but when Taehyung looked at him with those eyes; with questions and disappointment both hovering over those watery, pretty orbs—he couldn't help but ask for forgiveness—for Taehyung to forgive him for betraying him and being the most absurd asshole of this generation.

"It doesn't even matter hyung. At this point I don't expect anything from anyone, not even my brother. Even the aunts I used to love since my birth haven't looked back at me and my brother since the day we buried our mother. Quite tragic, I'd say but I know we'll get by with this too. You too will be busy with your life—the only person I'd have with me would be my bro—" his eyes were watery, shiny as he said those words.

"That's not true! I'm here, just for you and I promise I'm not going anywhere—" Jeongguk begins, voice wavering and small.

"I heard your mom talking to your father about sending you to Canada for your further studies..I don't know if you were hiding this from me or you simply didn't find me important enough to let me know but...yeah. So I guess you shouldn't promise things that you don't me—"
