it was a beautiful Sunday morning; the weather was just right, and the sun wasn't too bright through the curtains. the girls spent it the usual way they always do. waking up and snuggling until 8:30. Wednesday cooks breakfast, Enid makes coffee. eating breakfast together. brushing their teeth side by side. changing into new pajamas usually after a shower together and then whatever miscellaneous activities they end up getting roped into either separate or together always coming back together to eat meals.

Wednesday spent the rest of her day cleaning the house, setting up the tree for her and Enid to decorate for later and reading when she was finished.

Enid on the other hand well.... didn't.  She went to the grocery store and got groceries as well as spotted a sweater for pets and decided to buy some for their black and white spotted cat, Periwinkle and their golden retriever Juneberry both named by Wednesday. What could go wrong with this?

She turned the key in the lock and opened the door.

"I'm back!!!"

the golden retriever instantly greeted her at the door, whole body wiggling from excitement.

"Hi Junie! where's mama, huh?"

She finished petting her setting the groceries down on the kitchen floor to be put away as she went to look for Wednesday passing the tree she set up in the living room and smiling to herself.

"Wednesday!! babe!"

Taking a turn into the library there sat Wednesday curled up with a book as well as the cat for a companion. She looks up from her book.

"hey you"

"hi"

"Watcha reading?"

"Then she was gone by Lisa Jewell. Yoko got it for me."

"Sounds weird"

"eeh" Wednesday closes the book and stretches wrapping her arms around Enid's neck giving her a peck on the lips.

"How was the grocery store?"

"Horrible remind me who's idea it was to go a week before Christmas. I saw the tree by the way, thank you."

"Yours. do you need any help? you're welcome."

"Nope! go back to reading, nerd."

"Whatever. bye"

After putting the groceries away, it was time to put the sweaters on the pets!

How hard of a task could this be?

the answer to that is very hard.

getting the sweater on juneberry was an easy task sit, stay, good girl.

Periwinkle on the other hand...

Scratching and meowing, so much of it to the point Wednesday sat down her book to make sure she wasn't hearing things.

"ouch!"

"mreowww"

 ouch! damnit!"

 "hiss"

"this is dumb!"

"mreoww"

"ouch!"

The last thing Wednesday expected to see when she walked into the living room was safe to say not her wife fighting with the cat bleeding from her arms and hands.

"What are you doing?" she raises an eyebrow leaning against the doorframe.

"Ugh!!"

"Let me help you."

Working together they finally got the sweater over the cat and secured.

"We are NEVER doing that again."

"I agree. what made you think putting a sweater on a cat was a good idea?"

"I don't know!!"

a sigh

"I'll get the band aids."

After bandaging her up Wednesday ordered a pizza and they spent the night watching their favorite movies from high school.

"At least the animals look good!"

"Uh huh at least the animals look good."

"You look even better."

"ha ha ha very funny Wednesday"

"Goodnight I love you."

"Night I love you!"
