It was beautiful out. the crickets chirping and the stars shining bright in the sky. Enid stormed outside onto the balcony after getting off of the phone (with her mom) Wednesday shortly following.
Enid sitting against the window with her knees to her chest. Wednesday stepping out of the room.
"What's wrong"
"Nothing! I'm fine!" the older girl snapped back.
"You are a terrible liar."
"I know." she slumped her shoulders.
"What happened mon loup" (my wolf)
a few minutes passed. Wednesday always gives her time to answer, per her request.

Wednesday lifted her face with her pointer finger and thumb under Enids chin. Using this other hand to gently wipe away the tears under her eyes. Enid didn't even realize she was crying.
"I cannot hear you ma belle campanule. speak up." (my beautiful campanula)
"my.... mom"
"She c-called basically just the usual 'since you wolf out now you can find a mate! oh Enid time to have kids! Oh Enid! David already has a baby! you need one too!'
Wednesday uses her right hand to tuck a strand of faded pink hair behind her ear.
"She doesnt know what shes talking about."
her response is a small but grateful smile
"Thanks. i dont wanna talk about it"
"Ok. do you want me to go?"
"No! stay. its cold"
"We could just go back into the dorm."
"What's the fun in that?"
"No clue."
they both turn their attention to the sky admiring the stars.
