The bus journey felt long to Ellie but in reality it was only 15 minutes to the bus stop closest to the house, the nerves was what made her think the journey was long she was going to a house where her great grandfather's first and only love resided and telling him would be difficult how was she going to do this in a way that didn't seem crazy to the owners of the house due to the fact that everyone told her she was crazy and no ghosts existed and she wasn't prepared to hear it again, little did she know that Alison was also able to see ghosts after one pushed her out of the window, she was on the bus overthinking over and over again as she went down beautiful country lanes she took in the beauty of it all sure she did live in the country but this was all different no parents arguing and no siblings bullying her, this long road was calming her down even with the bumps in the road it was a good feeling. The bus stopped at the closest point to Button house she walked short distance to the top of the driveway and as Ellie made her way up the long drive way to the gates of the house she continued to convince herself that everything will be alright and nothing to bad could go wrong here and as she got to the gate she had a sense of safety like there is something in this house which made her seem almost at home. She opens the large gates and walked up the the two large doors to the house and range the doorbell there she was greeted by two lovely people a brunette woman and her husband who had baby sick on his shoulder the brunette questioned the petite girl "umm hi do you have the right house"
"I do hope so hello my name is Elizabeth are the two of you Alison and Mike Cooper" Ellie asked the pair
"Yes i'm Alison and this is my husband Mike what can we do for you" Alison answered
"yes I found a note belonging to my great grandfather for someone who lived here a while ago do you think it would be alright if I came in and talk through it with you" Ellie said
"yes please do come in just be quiet because we have a sleeping baby" Alison invited the girl in and went to the main living room followed by the young girl and they all sat down and as they did that the room soon flooded with ghosts all 8 of them and the stood behind Alison and Mike, Ellie did her best to ignore these ghosts
"how long have the two of you lived here" Ellie questioned
"six years now it's been a long time but we love it here" Mike replied with a small smile on his face
"I noticed it says Button house but you two are named cooper how come the two of you didn't rename the house" And as Ellie said that the Edwardian ghost pulled a face of disgust
"We were going to then I decided best not to this house was given to us through inheritance so we decided to keep it to its original family name and it costs a lot of money to have somebody make a new one" Alison told her and the Edwardian woman smiled in agreement or that's what Ellie presumed due to the fact she only pouted all the time
"ask her her age she must be young to have gotten here" a ghost who had an arrow through his neck said
Alison having heard the ghost asked Ellie the same exact question "How old are you your parents must be worried sick as to where you are"
"I am sixteen and my parents won't care they're probably fighting as per usual and they hardly ever notice I exist but that's a different thing" Ellie said with a single tear falling from her eye
"That poor child unloved amongst the others who could ever love a child with such sadness in her heart" A ghost who looked like he was from the regency era remarked
"oh be quiet Thomas the poor girl just wants to be friends with my Alison and I will allow that" Another this one was a young georgian woman
"Alison you should make sure she isn't related to you or supposedly is we can't have another Lucy situation where she tries to steal your money" a ghost who was wearing no trousers said
"yes what Julian said you went through hell last time" a war captain replied.
That must be him that has to be the man my grandfather loved
"Who exactly are you and are we related because the last person who said that she was related to me tried to steal everything from me" Alison said with a slight anger
How could she be saying exactly what the ghosts are saying is it possible she can see ghosts too but no surely not
"uhh no i'm not related to you at all and i would never come to someone's house just to take there money and I'm sorry that it happened to you, you two seem like such a nice couple" Ellie said with confusion
"Okay but who exactly are you" Mike questioned the girl
"My name is Elizabeth Elizabeth Jamie Havers"
Ellie finally said
"She she can't be" the captain said
"Captain you okay" The arrow ghost said
"No Pat no I'm not she is a liar she can't possibly be related to Havers my Havers" Captain said with sadness and anger
"Well he could of had a brother or a cousin you never know" Pat reassured him
"He didn't he was the last of his family's bloodline" Captain remembered
"So she's a liar or she is actually related to him" Julian said with a cheeky grin
"Alison there is one thing I want to ask can you see ghosts" Ellie asked
All the ghosts including Alison shared the same shocked look how could this girl possibly know
"Ho- How do you know" Alison questioned in pure shock
"well Alison-...
