A knock on my door startled me awake. I tried to ignore it, thinking my roommate Bhavika would take it, but the knock was getting louder. I groaned and walked towards the door while half asleep. I opened the door and a cheerful voice struck my ears.
"Baby girl... Good morning!" Aisha greeted me while hugging me tight.
I was still in my dreamland so all I did was sleep on her shoulders.
"Wake up! We are going for breakfast. Look at the weather outside," she said.
How can anyone be so fucking cheerful this early? That too in a weekend.
"What time is it?"
I went up to my table to check my phone. It was just 9:30 in the morning. I gave a side eye to her.
"Arya please, I am starving,"
I only remained there for a few periods till my stomach began to growl. I mean, I was starving. So it's best to eat, then go back to sleep.
"Give me 5 minutes," I said before freshening up.
I brushed my teeth, washed my face, did my morning routine, and slipped into my black yoga trousers and a baby pink oversized t-shirt. I looked at myself in the mirror, well my face says how much of a sleep I had. My face was dull and tired, and the eye bags were visible, but why did I even care? I am not a pessimistic bitch, complaining about my breakouts, hair fall, and my round face.
After putting on my flip shoes and sipping a glass of water, Aisha and I walked out. Despite the intense warm weather, the breeze felt quite comforting on my face. I am not a morning person, but when I accidentally get up this early, I don't miss the chance to enjoy its serenity. We made our way over to the lawn area where a food truck was serving up some delectable breakfast. It was me, Aisha and Arjun. We went and grabbed a nice table to feast on. Arjun went to order the breakfast, while I and Aisha were seated, looking around at the early birds who were as hungry as we were. While some people were conversing nonstop and exuding enthusiasm, others were seated on the concrete benches with their loved ones, and here I was, half asleep in a chair, waiting for my meal to arrive. I was scrolling through my phone when Arjun came back with our food. I gave him a hand and our table was laden with exquisite treats. , starting from paranthas, brown bread sandwiches, wraps, and juice."Oh guys, Vivan will also be joining us in a moment," He said while shoving a piece of parantha in his mouth.
"What? Why?" I asked
"He was alone, so he called me and I invited him over,"
Shit! I gave a nod and took a glance downward. Aisha gave me a gloomy expression and inquired if everything was alright. I nodded and smiled at her. I don't want him anywhere near me after whatever happened. He is an evil bastard who manipulates people's feelings. I am aware of the devilish nature of this man, who torments people while manipulating emotions like toys. I still can't believe that I had something for that person. I prayed as I looked around that he wouldn't ruin my breakfast, but sure enough, there he was, heading toward us while wearing a navy t-shirt and gray track trousers. His devilishly handsome face was glistening under the rays of the sun, taking me back to the events of the spring fest.
DAY 1 OF THE SPRING FEST
I returned to the ground where my companions were waiting for me, and I began to dance. From a distance, I can see Vivan. He was chatting with someone else before making his way over to the stage. I can vividly see his face towards the audience. At this point, I would do anything to run away from this person. We were at the end of the evening, and all of us were dancing and laughing our asses off. I just peeked a glance towards the stage, but he was nowhere to be seen. I was still dancing, moving my hands to the music and reveling in the springtime high when all of a sudden, someone grabbed me by the waist, pulled me violently, and whispered, "I will make you mine."
