Chapter 4

I woke up and quickly went downstairs bc i was so hungry, i made pancakes for me and Olivia, i woke her up and we ate breakfast together. i went to my room and saw a letter from school that James gave me, i somehow forgot to opened it.

I opened the letter and read it. it says i have to perform a song at prom (a/n : yes, gwen can sing and she has a killer voice), i was really excited and think about what song i should sing. the letter said that shawn would perform also.

I thought for a moment and i know what i am going to sing and it's gonna be good!

****skip a few days****

*prom day*

Prom starts at 6 p.m. but i decided to wake up early, i've rehearsed for the performence yesterday at the place and at my house. i woke Olivia up and we had breakfast.

"You wanna go to the salon?" I asked while eating my cereal

"Doing what?" She said with mouth full of cereal

"Ugh come on don't be silly, it's prom day, don't you want to look gorgeous?"

"Oh yeah, lets go then"

We went to the salon and spa, and we feel like a princess, we both feel beautiful and ready to hit the dance floor! After that, we went to get some food and went home. prom is 4 hours to go so we need to get hurry.

We took a shower and wear our bath robes. we blow dry our hair and it's make up time!

"Do my make up will you?" She asked
"I'd love to"

I did my make up carefully and Olivia can't stop looking at me,

"Wow, my sister looks so beautiful, Asa is very lucky" she giggles

"Well, we're twins, i am as beautiful as you are" i said putting on my mascara.
"Done! It's your turn, sit down on the chair and keep still" she quickly sat down.

After makeup we did our hair, and someone rings the doorbell.

"That must be James or Asa" she stood up.

I looked at my phone and see a text from Asa a minute ago, it says "hey! I'm at your house with James"

"Nope. both"

"Oh yeay!" She squeled. she is very excited.

We went down stairs and i opened the door. "hey you guys!" I said giving them a hug, olivia also gabe them a hug.

"Ready to hit the prom?" Asa asked and i nod, we went into the limo and drove to prom.

We arrived there and eat food, dance, talked and take pictures, and i realize i need to go backstage to prepare for the performance.

"Asa, i need to go backstage, sorry, i'll be back after performance"

"Sure! Good luck on your performance! I'm sure you'll do great"

I nod and ran backstage. "gwen! There you are" one of the crew said.

"Yeah sorry" i said,

"We have your grand piano ready, and you'll be performing after shawn"

"Okay, thank you"

I circled around the room, i was feeling nervous about the show and someone taps my shoulder, i jumped a little bit and turned around, it was shawn.

"You scared me" i said breathing uncontrolably

"Sorry, i didn't mean to" he said smiling

"Yeah yeah" i said calming down

"You look beautiful" he smiled even bigger

"Thank you, i bet lauren is more beautiful"
"Okay.. whats wrong?"
"What?"
"Are you jealous?"
"What?!"
"You look like you're jealous, is it because i didn't ask you to prom?" He pinched my cheek
"No, stop, get your hands off of me"
"Then whats wrong?"
"Idk, whats wrong with you?
"What?"
"This conversation is getting no where" i walked passed him and sit down on a chair

"Yo shawn, its show time" the crew called him

"Okay" he said walking to the stage

"Good luck" i said when he walked passed me

"Thanks, good luck to you too" he smiled.

I peek out a little bit to see him perform, he stand up with a guitar on his hand as always.

"This song is for my beautiful prom date, lauren. i hope you enjoy". he can't stop staring at her. he performed life of the party, after the song ended he goes backstage to put his guitar.

"Gwen Northwest, you're up" the crew called me

I stand up and goes on stage and shawn is out from the backstage and hugged lauren. i sat down in front of my grand piano and said " this song is for my friend, who knows exactly who he is".

I started playing the piano and sing

I bow and wave my hand and go down stage, i walk pass shawn and he grabs my arm, "you did great", "thanks" i continued walking towards Asa, James and Olivia we did a group hug,

"I'm so proud of you" Olivia hugged me
"Thank you" i hugged her back and stand beside Asa, he wrapped his arm around my waist,

"Did you cry?" He smirked
"Shut up" i playfully punch his shoulder.
"It's for shawn isn't it?"
"How did you know?"
"Well, i guess i know you the best"
I laughed
