Loki sat in the office room alone, spinning a pen in his hand, reminiscent of the way he used to handle his dagger. His brow furrowed as he stared at the file in front of him, lost in thought. Suddenly, the door swung open, and Silvy and Mobius entered, their presence breaking Loki's concentration. Mobius wore a broad smile, clearly excited about something.
"Hey Lokes, you're coming with us on a mission!" Mobius exclaimed, his enthusiasm evident. Loki's eyes lit up, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Really?" he asked, his voice filled with anticipation. Silvy, however, brushed past him, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "No, doofus, we just said it for fun," she retorted, her eyes rolling. She reached into Mobius's desk drawer and retrieved Loki's dagger, handing it to him. Loki twirled the dagger in his hand, mirroring the way he spun the pen earlier, before tucking it into his coat pocket. "Then let's go," he declared, ready for the adventure that awaited them. Mobius rubbed his hands together, excitement radiating from him, while Silvy couldn't help but roll her eyes at their enthusiasm. "Right, what's the worst that could happen?" she muttered under her breath.
Little did they know, it was about to get much worse. The rogue variant they were after had set a trap, and the mission quickly turned into a disaster. Chaos ensued, and almost every agent was killed. The building they were in caught fire, engulfing everything in its path.
Loki gasped for breath, his lungs burning from the smoke. He was thrown against a wall by a powerful blow, his cheek cut and bleeding, his lip split. A gash on his shoulder and a deep cut on his ankle hindered his movements. The building was ablaze, and panic surged through him. He stumbled towards the exit, his injured leg slowing him down. Just as he reached the doorway, he turned back, his heart pounding in his chest. "Silvy, where's Mobius?" he shouted, his voice filled with desperation. Silvy pointed towards the burning building, her eyes wide with fear. "Loki, no!" she cried out, but it was too late. Loki dashed back into the inferno, determined to find his friend.
When he emerged from the burning wreckage, Loki's face was covered in soot, his clothes torn and singed. But in his arms, he carried Morbius, unconscious and battered. Loki's eyes were filled with relief and worry as he gently laid Morbius down on the ground. He coughed, his body weak from the smoke inhalation, but he soon regained consciousness.
Morbius woke with a start, his eyes fluttering open. He found himself in the hospital wing at the TVA, a nurse standing nearby, watching over him. "Hey, hon, there's nothing wrong with you. You just inhaled some smoke. You're fine now," the nurse reassured him with a warm smile. Morbius nodded, grateful for her care. As soon as he was given the all-clear, he made his way back to his office, his heart pounding in his chest.
But what he saw when he entered his office made his fists clench with a mix of emotions. Loki was sitting on his desk, his body covered in scratches and burns, while Silvy carefully stitched up a gash on his shoulder. The wound was badly burned, the cut in the middle a testament to the danger they had faced. Silvy huffed in annoyance, clearly exasperated with Loki's recklessness. "Ugh, Loki," she muttered, her frustration evident.
Loki's eyes were red-rimmed, his hair disheveled, and his hands trembled as he raised them, placing a shaky hand on Morbius's chest. "You're real," he whispered, his voice barely audible, hoarse from shouting. Morbius stepped forward, making his presence known, his heart aching at the sight of Loki's vulnerability. "Hey, Lokes," he said softly, his voice filled with warmth and concern. Loki stood, his gaze locked with Morbius's, a mixture of relief and longing in his eyes.
Silvy rolled her eyes once again, unable to resist teasing them mercilessly. "Oh, look at you two, all lovey-dovey," she teased, a mischievous grin on her face. Loki quickly changed the subject, his cheeks flushing slightly. But Morbius fell silent, his eyes never leaving Lokis face, his intrest and affection for the trickster god evident on his face. Yes they could become something more, maybe. If Morbius gathers the courage and Lokis past doesn't spoil his future. But who are we kidding a Lokis only choice is to fail. But is it Morbius's only choice. Well time will tell.
