There was a naked woman making her way down the shore with determined steps. Her feet were in the water, but her gaze was so distracted that it was unclear if she even knew it. Elvira was looking out of her tent, watching her with a frown.

"Jasper!" She called out to no response. "Jasper!"

A tall redhead trotted over to her, huddling in his blanket.

"What? Is it a fire?" He snarked right before spotting the naked woman. "Whoa. What's her deal?"

"No idea. I've never seen her before." Elvira dove down for her own blanket. "I'm going to see if she needs help."

Jasper hissed, leaning down to the older woman.

"She's clearly a junkie. Don't even approach if you don't want her to eat your face."

"Quiet, you. She might need help. If she bites me, come to my rescue."

"Ha! As if!"

Elvira chuckled, taking slow steps towards the water-brooding woman. She had to speed up to catch up, her old bones protesting loudly. She had to be faster, since the woman didn't stop by their camp, continuing down the shore.

"Lass, hey!" Elvira called out to her. The woman didn't react. "Hey, you! Naked lass! Wait up!"

No reaction once again. Elvira forced herself to go a bit faster.

Upon closer inspection the woman was muscular and barely taller than Elvira, who had hunched over with age. She had straight black hair to her waist.

"Hey, I'm talking to you! Are you alright?"

Elvira grabbed the woman's arm to get her to stop.

That got a reaction.

As soon as Elvira clasped her fingers around the wrist, the woman stopped in place, yanking her arm out and turning towards her. The violent motion knocked Elvira down onto her bottom, her entire body aching. The movement of the woman's hand continued. She raised it over her head, ready to strike Elvira. The woman's eyes were full of hatered, her mouth turning to a snarl.

Elvira shielded herself with her boney arm, well aware it wouldn't protect her from the hit.

"Stop! Stop!"

Jasper and Chris were running over from the camp, both with long planks in their hands.

Elvira expected the woman to break into sprint to escape the charge, which would be a reasonable reaction when two men in tattered clothing are running towards you with makeshift weapons, but the woman remained where she was, her hand suspended in the air. Her expression lost the edge when she spotted the chivlary, becoming dull.

The men slowed their sprint, losing their reason when they didn't get the expected reaction. Chris helped Elvira stand up, while Jasper directed his plank at the woman. She lowered her arm, observing them. That threw everyone off. Elvira gathered her bearings first.

"Hello." Elvira simply said, not knowing how to approach the situation. The woman had tried to attack her, but right now she seemed harmless. It would be unwise to rail her up.

"Hello."

The greeting took them all by surprise. It was completely impartial, as if she hadn't just attack Elvira and Jasper wasn't holding a weapon to beat her up. Elvira gave the men a sign to calm down. Jasper didn't relent, holding the plank in front of him.

"Who the hell do you think you are?"Jasper took a step forward, the plank just a few centimeters from the woman's throat. The closer it got, the more she raised her upper lip in a snarl. If it touched her, they would ifght.
