Hazal was nervous, stepping into the enclave with just Charlie, but if her hunch was correct, she would have easier time finding the demon with less people around. She slipped the angelic feather to her companion's pocket, just in case. She didn't want the woman to die because her boss decided that she should be a bait for a demonic widow. Hazal was nearly defenseless without the feather, her only way to protect herself would be a good old-fashioned gun, provided the widow wouldn't transform. Then the firearm would be nearly useless.
There were fewer people in the enclave this time, but once again she couldn't feel any strong emotions around. Charlie's anxiety was a steady stream right behind her, while the people lurking about were angry, distrusting about their presence.
She led them to where she suspected emotions of Elvira and Jasper were. These two had been the most suspicious in this demonic situation.
"Wait here." She commanded Charlie. The woman nodded, still blissfully unaware of the real danger. Sometimes not knowing about the unseen was a blessing.
The bait worked the best if neither the beast, nor the prey knew they were taking part in a hunt.

Charlie didn't want to be there. She wasn't even sure why she was here while Chief was interrogating the witnesses again, but after her last fuck up she decided not to question anything and follow orders.
"Hello."
Shit.
The culprit was right there, politely greeting Charlene. She didn't look very culprit-y in her too big grey hand-me-downs. She was barely taller than Charlie, and was drowning in her clothes. Not really physically imposing.
Then again, most killers didn't really look like killers.
Charlene's pulse skyrocketed. Chief was inside, but if Charlie screamed, she'd hear it and come to her aid. It could also trigger the killer to attack.
She decided against calling out, hoping to stall the woman unti Chief came out herself.
"Hello." She responded, trying to keep her voice from shaking. "You're Robin, right?"
The woman nodded.
"I'm Charlene."
"Are you here to investigate again?" Robin asked, tilting her head.
Charlene shouldn't say anything about the investigation, and yet this one time it was just harmless information.
"Yes."
"Did you ever determine the cause of death?"
"I-- I can't really tell you."
"Why not?"
"This is confidential police work, and, well-- you are the main suspect."
Charlie had no idea why she said that. Robin raised her eyebrows.
"Me?"
"Exactly, you."
"I didn't kill Chris. Nobody from your police force even came to ask me about it."
"Well, I mean-- I don't exactly know how it was determined. I'm not a detective, I just collect evidence."
"What a load of bullshit." Robin scoffed. "I'm not the killer you're looking for. So can you tell me how he died?"
Charlene really shouldn't.
"He had a heart attack. A very painful and long one, from the look of it. The knife was inserted immediately post mortem."
