Its been 3 weeks since Luke sang to me and we have Regionals in 2 weeks. I was freaking out.

"Mr.Marsh, what is the set list for regionals?" I ask one day during a Glee Club meeting.

"Well I was thinking that you and Luke could do a duet and then your song and the group number." I smile and nod.

"What about the songs?" Luke asks, repeating my question.

"Well, whats the theme?" Our instructor stammered.

"Well at least one of the songs have to be a duet and a group song. The duet is a long song kind of thing and the group song is something that represents your team as a whole."

"Loser like me!" About half the kids exclaimed.

"So we have loser like me. We still need a duet." He says.

"Well for Lorens song we could do Carrie Underwood's "Wasted'"

"Why that one?"

"It says on the show choir website that the single song is about love, hate or bullying."

"Tori Kelly. Nobody love." Someone I think Hazel suggests.

"Now that song will bag us 2nd at least and now for barbie and kens song." Cally snarks.

"Well how about for Loren. Love me like you do. Its more in her vocal range than nobody love?" Eddie suggests.

"True and we want me to be able to transfer from one song straight into the other to sing lead." I add.

"Okay so we have Love Me Like You Do, Loser Like Me and?" Mr. Marsh asks us again.

"Um, No Air, Lucky or Its Your Love." Hazel suggests.

"Luke, Loren. We have Loser Like Me and Love Me Like You Do, which song fits the category but goes with our songs."

"Either Lucky or No Air." Luke says.

"You two have real chemistry, in order for a song to work. A love song to work you have to have chemistry. You guys are best friend and also like each other."

"Our set list for regionals is..... Drum roll please Max....." We wait for the drum roll to stop.

"Lucky, Love Me Like You Do, and Loser like me." We cheer.

Over the next few weeks, Luke and I have been practicing out of our asses. We have the songs down pat and the choreography done. Tonight was regionals. Both my parents and Luke's would be here to watch us. I was finishing up my hair because my song was up first.

"From our very own McKinley High give it for the New Directions." I stood behind the door ready to push through it when it was time for me to start singing.

[Loren:]
You're the light, you're the night
You're the color of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
You're the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much, so much

You're the fear, I don't care
'Cause I've never been so high
Follow me through the dark
Let me take you past our satellites
You can see the world you brought to life, to life

So love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do
Love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do
Touch me like you do, to-to-touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

Fading in, fading out
On the edge of paradise
Every inch of your skin is a holy grail I've got to find
Only you can set my heart on fire, on fire
Yeah, I'll let you set the pace
'Cause I'm not thinking straight
My head's spinning around I can't see clear no more
What are you waiting for?
