"So the Duke, right?" Italzi began. "My parents broke his code, and it checks that that was a big deal. Now..." Italzi breathed a shaky sigh.

"They're dead and he's hunting me down. I need to kill him before he gets to me. Not just for my parents, but there needs to be some change around here. Here's the problem, though; I haven't obtained any sort of skill yet, and I don't think some battle training is going to be what takes him down. That's my mission, in short."

"And," Cindie added, "I'm accompanying her so I can help her develop her skill. So we need more people on our team. Do you wanna come?"

"Sure," said Alana. "Life here is pretty boring anyway."

"A lot of people seem to think so as well."

"Can I come?" asked Immi from the back. This was the first time she had spoken.

"Nope," said Atlas, taking Immi by the hand. "I'm not letting you go with a bunch of rebels to go try and kill the King or something."

"But Atlas!" started Immi. "Imagine how many people you could murder!"

"I know, I know, but still," said Atlas. "Think about how many people could murder you."

Alana sighed.

"Listen, Atlas," she started. "Immi is practically a fully grown human, she can make her own decisions."

"Alana we both know that Immi isn't fully grown mentally."

"Atlas!" yelled Immi. "Just for that, I'm going with them."

"No, you're not, end of discussion," said Atlas as he picked her up and tried to carry her away. Immi started kicking and screaming until she bit Atlas' hand.

"Gosh, Immi!" said Atlas. "If you're going to be so difficult then fine go get yourself killed. But I'm coming with you."

"Fine," Immi replied as Atlas put her down.

"Anyway," said Cindie. "Can we just stay here for the night?"

"Sure," said Alana. "I'll get some blankets."

"Great," Italzi said, "But we have to leave in the morning. Everyone good with that?"

Everyone agreed and they set off to bed.
