The sun began to rise as the group followed the old man, Their guide traveling a slow and comfortable pace to allow the Kamado family to keep up. A worn Kei holding Rokuta had her off-hand guided by Jonathan as they continued walking, the tired single mother barely keeping her eyelid half open, as for the rest of the Kamados. Tanjiro was walking alongside Urokodaki per his instruction, they however did not exchange words. Then there's Shigeru hanging just behind them, a small distance away.

Time seems rather pass by quickly, as in no time at all. By no time at all, I meant it was nearly sunset, It took the group almost the entire to get there. But got there nonetheless, they stopped at a small clearing holding two paths; further up the mountain and back down it, And in split middle between the two at the edge of the clearing was a small house.

Urokodaki: We're here, make yourself home inside. I apologize if it's a little cramped.

Tanjiro: Oh you shouldn't be apologizing, sir. We're grateful you'd house us in the first place.

Urokodaki: Mhm.

Nodding, the Kamados began to flow inside the small hut. The only three exceptions opting to stay outside were Urokodaki, Tanjiro, and Jonathan.

Urokodaki: Come Tanjiro, I need to test you whether you are deserving to train as a demon slayer.

Tanjiro: Ah, Yes sir!

Jonathan follows them. He starts to walk the path up the mountain until he is stopped by Urokodaki, who suddenly turns around to face Jonathan.

Urokodaki: No, This is something for the boy to do alone. Stay here and help ease the others in.

Jonathan: -Okay.

Tanjiro: Don't worry Mister Jonathan! I'll be fine, I'll prove myself with this test. Please rest.

Giving the man a comforting smile, his eyes pleading 'believe in me' as Jonathan sighs before nodding his head and turning back. The way he was walking away reminiscent of a golden retriever after getting denied a walksie.

Urokodaki: . . .

Inside the house.

Jonathan enters to see Kei preparing Shigeru and Rokuta for bed, guiding them to one in of two of the other rooms of the hut. She lightly sang them a soft lullaby whilst stroking their hair, It worked wonders as the two boys slowly closed their eyes before drifting to sleep. The tune softly hit your ears and even you were starting to feel drowsy, almost dropping to sleep. Luckily, you stopped yourself midway from falling, using your hand to quickly grab on the door post, causing a ruckus and Kei to finally notice your presence.

Realizing you heard to her sing, her face flushes from embarrassment as she nervously stammers.

Kei: ミスター・ジョナサン!どのくらいの期間そこにいましたか?疲れていましたか?私の歌が気を悪くさせたらごめんなさい、私は-- (M-Mr Jonathan! How long w-were you there for? Were you tired? I'm sorry if my singing disturbed you I wo-)

Kneeling in front of her, you stop her mid-sentence as you clasp her hands with your hulking ones.

Jonathan: N-No, it's fine. You have a beautiful voice Mrs. Kamado.

Smiling, you attempt to console her unaware of the embarrassment the older woman felt from your words.

Kei: わ、何もないよ。(I-It's nothing.)
