Brian:
"I know, Twilight is so overrated." I said.
My best friend Kayleen leaned on my arm and smiled as we walked down the shaded road.
"Thats why your my very best friend, Brian."
The sun glittered through the trees and seemed to dance on the sidewalk. There was a soft rustle as a slight breeze blew the trees leaves to the ground. Kay and I took pleasure in kicked the mountains of leaves that had fallen previous to our walk home from school. We turned onto our street and she walked up the stairs to her front door.
"Goodbye my lord." she said in a very posh voice while doing a mock curtsey.
"Goodbye my fair maiden. I do hope you enjoy this lovely afternoon." I returned her posh voice.
"Oh yes, indeed, I intend to."
She shut the door behind her and I smiled. I walked all of ten feet to my front door and went up to my room. I looked out my window and into Kayleens room. Our houses were so close that I could literally read the small print on her posters. Kay's room was all bright colors while mine was dark blue everything. I saw her enter her room and take off her sweater. She only had on her yellow tank top and her jeans. Her tank was a little short so it showed a small amount of skin. I picked up my phone and hit 1. It rang and I saw her glance at her phone.
"Hello?" she said sweetly.
"Hey, wanna close the curtins? I have a girlfriend Kay!" I said in mock horrification.
She turned at me and glared. She had freckles and a temper. That's why she was my best friend.
"Yeah!" Kay laughed. "I've realized! 'Oh BriBri, I missed you! I mean, I only saw you last period.'" Kay mocker my girlfriends voice.
I chuckled. Kayleen was the only one who dared mock my girlfriend infront of me. Kay walked to her window and pulled the dark curtin over her window.
"Happy?" she asked.
"You know it."
"I'll talk to you tomorrow, idiot."
"You know-"
"Goodbye Brian." Kay cut me off and hung up. I chuckled again.
Kay wasn't a nerd but she wasn't a popular girl like Danielle, my girlfriend. Kayleen was in the middle, though she can act like a nerd about somethings.
I however was the jock. I play baseball which is like football for other high schools. Im not a player. I think it an awful thing to do; make a girl fall in love with you then drop her just like that. Danielle was the only girl I've actually loved before I dated other girls but it was just puppy love. Danielle had long blonde hair and tanned skin. She was the head cheerleader and was the most popular girl in school.
I have the look of a player though. I have dark hair that hangs in my eyes and I usually have to flip it to the side. I have grey stormy eyes. Kay says When I get in a ragethey turn black. Suprisingly Kayleen is the only person who can calm me down. Last year Danielle got in a car wreck and I was beside myself.Kayleen didnt leave my side once and she came with me to the hospital every time. Kay will always be my best friend and I will always be hers.
Kayleen:
Good god, Brian can be so annoying! I took a shower and changed quickly. I had to go to a dinner for moms best friends 20th anniversary party. Almost everytime i have to go to one of these parties, which is often, I often find myself wishing Brian could come with me. Atleasthe would make i interesting. He hates posh parties and such. One time he did come and all he did was lean over and whisper in a posh voice while he imitated each and every person.
I pulled on a floor length, light purple, strappy, silky dress and some strapy heels. I left my hair down and put some make up on. I pulled back the curtin and ran a brush through my hair. I wanted to say goodbye to Brian, but his girlfriend, Danielle was over so I just walked out my bedroom door.
Danielle hated me because I was so close to Brian. Really? I mean, most of the time when people are best friends they spend time together. Crazy, I know, but they do. Note the sarcasm. Besides, I like another guy who everyone says likes me. And funny enough, his parents are the ones having the party tonight.
My older brother, Dex, was standing with his girlfriend, Georgia, she prefers GiGi. I really like her and think he should just 'pop the question' already. They've been going out since their sophmore year of high school. Dex is 25 years old and he still hasnt 'popped the question' yet.
I pity him.
"Okay kids let's go." my mom said. We climbed into our car and I glanced out my window and saw Brian looking out his window and into my room.
Huh? I creased my forehead in confusion.
Brian smiled and walked away from the curtins. I blinked. Oh crap I forgot to turn off my light didnt I? Oh well, it was too late to go back now or else Dad will have a fit.
Brian:
I smiled at the sight of her bedroom. She'd left the sink running. I smirked and walked away from the curtins and turned to Danielle. I had to say goodbye to Dani first then I'd go over and turn it off. I turned and she pressed her lips against mine. Even though I love Danielle , all she did was kiss me and I was kind of getting tired of it. I pulled away and she smiled.
"See you tomorrow Bri Bri. Love you." she said walking out the door tossing her wavy blonde hair behind her and she pranced out of the room.
"Love you too." I called after her.
Kayleen:
We arrived at the beyond fancy restaurant and I felt jello-y as my eyes locked on Jesse Walters's eyes. My god he was gorgeous. He smiled and winked at me as I got out of my car.
He took my arm. And I felt shocks running through my body.
"Nice to see you Kayleen." he whispered in my ear. I shivered.
Jesse had short brown hair and dark eyes, and full lips.
Oh tonight was going to be interesting.
I was seated next to Jesse at the dinner table. During the meal, I noticed, he inched every so slightly closer to me every five minutes, till we were practically sharing the same chair.
Dinner went on and the sky turned an even darker shade of blue. Couples stared going to the dance floor. I finished my dinner and was talking to Jesse's cousin when Jesse tapped my shoulder.
"You wanna dance?" Jesse said holding out his hand.
"Uh, sure." I said taking it.
He pulled me close and took my hand in his while his other wrapped around my waist My hand rested on his shoulder. I couldnt help but smile. Jesse twirled me and pulled me back in. Let's just say I suck at dancing but Jesse didnt seem to mind.
