Brian:
After lunch, I headed to the baseball field. Coach held a mandatory practice every Wednesday after lunch. I spotted Jesse Walters on the pitchers mound throwing fastballs to our catcher, Grant Jennings. I walked slowly towards him, I had to tell him to back off of Kay. No way was I gonna let this slide.
"Walters!" i hollered as I got closer.
He turned and grinned that cocky grin I hated so much. He spit then walked over to me.
"'Sup Meyers?"
"I heard you danced with Kayleen Reilly last night."
"What about it?"
"Why'd you do it?"
Jesse turned back to the Grant and threw a fastball. Grant caught it and threw it back. Jesse was a good pitcher no matter how arrogant he was.
"She's kind."
"Kind? I know you Walters. There is no way that it was because shes kind."
"Why are you making a big deal about this? I just asked her to dance. No big deal."
"Its is to me. She's my best friend."
"Yeah, the whole school knows that."
"I just don't want you hurting her like you do all the other girls you date."
"You do the same."
"At least I wouldn't to Kay."
"Okay fine," he said turning back to me. "She's got a fine body." he said smirking.
I grabbed him by his collar. I was getting angry and when I get angry, nobody wants to be around me.
"You break her heart and I swear to god, I will find you and.... it wont be pretty."
"Brian I was just kidding! I would never hurt her! Really! I've known her for a while and have kind of liked her too." he said looking shocked.
I let go and he looked taken aback. His shock turned to a smile. I looked over my shoulder and Kay was walking towards us. I stepped away from Jesse and jammed my hands in my pockets.
"I hope he hasn't been scaring you away, Jesse." she gave me a look.
"Not at all," he replied looking at me. "we were just talking baseball."
"Oh." she said.
Jesse put an arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him. God, I felt like punching him. To make things worse, he kissed her cheek. Kay actually blushed.
"Do you wanna get some dinner tonight?" he asked her. She smiled and blushed again.
"I'd love to."
"Good. I'll pick you up at seven." he smiled. He took her hand and I wanted to gag.
"I'll be ready." she said kissing his cheek.
I shot Jesse a look. He grinned at me.
Kay left his side and walked toward me. she took my arm dragging me away. I guess she felt my vibe.
"Bye Jesse!" she called.
I flamed and shook her off. She shot me a look of shock. I never did things like this. I was just really pissed that Jesse Walters had the nerve to kiss my best friend in front of me! I saw the hurt in Kayleens eyes and I immediately felt bad about shaking her off like that.
"What is wrong with you?" she growled as well got farther away from Jesse.
"It's just.... that guy Jesse. He really bugs me. I really wish you weren't dating him." I growled back.
"Brian, do you know how unfair that is!" she said her voice rising.
"Do you really think he likes you?!" I hollered back.
"Yes! I do! And may I say that you have no right to tell me who I can date and who I cant!"
I ran a hand through my hair and tried to calm down. She really wasn't getting it. I know that I sound unfair, but I really don't want her getting hurt.
"I just dont want you getting hurt, Kay. Your my best friend!" I said, my voice quiet.
"Well thank you but I think I can handle myself." she said giving me a small smile.
Before I could respond she walked off in the other direction. I looked away from her. I saw Dani coming toward me. I mentally groaned as she came nearer.
"Hey, hows my lovely boyfriend?" she asked wrapping her arms around my waist.
I looked down at her brown eyes and lawless skin. I smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Fine. You?"
"Fine."
I kissed her intensely. I needed to get my mind off of Kay and Jesse. Another pang went off in my chest when I realized my best friend had been taken by a player. I player I hated.

Kayleen:
Ugh! The nereve of Brian to say that Jesse didnt really like me! How should he know? Yeah, maybe he has had more relationships than I have but that doesnt really make him an expert on love. I mean look at his girlfriend! Does he really think she loves him? Sure, she might think he's hot. He is good-looking. But she doesnt really love him. She just wants him to keep her reputation up aswell as her popularity. I probably sound like an awful person but its completley true.
I just had to stop thinking about this.
