As 2pm rolled around i went to the library to meet up with Summer for our first tutor session. I knew it was gon go great when i seen her and she smiled at me.
"Whats up summer" i greeted her with a lil hug.
"Mm hey Kai" she said and hugged me back. I rolled my eyes. I hope it aint gon be no bullshit wit her. "So you need help with calculus you said?" She asked and i nodded
"Yea bro i gotta get my grade up in order to graduate bro" i told her and she nodded
"Aright so we gon start with just doing ya homework then we can lock in studying for finals" i nodded and we began
We worked for about 2 hours on my homework and then got some studying in. We ended up packing it up and walking together to the Quad to grab a snack before i had to meet up with my sister and get home for this dinner.
"So why you ask me to tutor you?" She asked as we stood in line at the fruit cup stand.
I shrugged, "ian want too many people knowing i was failing, on top of that you a close family friend so i knew you would have my back" i told her
I cant tell her its cos i know she gon do it for me. That sound mean.
She nodded, "aww how sweet" i chuckled and rolled my eyes.
We made it to the front of the line to order, "lemme get a mango pineapple cup with everything" he nodded and started writing, i looked to Summer
"Can i have a strawberry mango cup with uh
Just chile and Chamoy" she finished
"15.75" he told me and i swiftly handed him a 20$. I dont think summer expected me to pay because she looked up at me and smiled
"Thank you" dhe said
I nodded, "no doubt" i replied.
We got our fruit and went to sit out front to wait on Miri and yosohn. While we was sitting there me and summer just talked, kinda got to know eachother. Not like that but shes Miri's friend snd shes always around and i dont knoe that much about her. The least i could do is get to know my tutor.
"So wait" she stopped me mid story, "ya mother told ya Bio mom what?" She asked
"She told her the next time she wanted to discuss being broke and a mother to find someone she could call comp bro i was weak when they told me that shit" i told her and we sat back laughing.
"Yo miss Alana is crazy i love ya moms bro she be ready to fuck some shit up about yall" she said and i nodded
"Yea im happy she home i missed ha like crazy" i admitted.
"Yea how was that? How is it having her home" she asked
Honestly i havent been asked that. I mean i talk to yall about it but it feel good to actually get to talk about how i feel out loud.
"Shit feel unreal" i admitted, "waking up to her cooking and coming home to her after school feel like a dream. Thats why im trying mad hard on my calculus, i gotta make sure im perfect for my moms you know? She gave so much for me"
Summer nodded and rubbed my back, "i know she happy to be home wit you too Kai"
I looked at her and smiled. Maybe she not just my sister annoying little friend.
As we was waiting i got approached by Lola. Shes a little cheerleader shes the captain i guess. She been trynna talk to me since sophomore year but i always slide her. People think cos im the QB and shes the cheer captain we posed to be together.
